The view of the Dunabe River, Chain Bridge & Buda Castle was incredible at night. This was a much nicer hotel than I thought it was going to be, especially at the cost. It was a very affordable, and could/should have cost more compared to others around that area.

Simply a fantastic location close to the Szechenyi bridge and looking across buda Castile. Walkable to most tourist sights like st Stephens church and Parliament. However bathroom had a strong musty odor due to the closed bathroom without vent. Room freshener was given on request but did not help. Espresso Coffee machine should be included for this price. Weather was rainy and cold in October.

Great location. Committed staff. Nice Sunday breakfast with super waiters/waitresses. Concierge informed but not as helpful as we would have liked.

PERFECT location and outstanding value for what you get…a clean room, modern hotel and great service.

everyone was great, fantastic location. I will do it again next year. Staff was amazing.

This was a great hotel to stay at for our trip to Budapest. It was right on the river with lots of restaurants next door. Quick walk to castle hill and sights on the Pest side. Would definitely stay here again.

the best location, great view, in front of the Danube, near from shopping area, at the heart of Budapest clean, good place, good service. i woud recommend this place.

This is a fantastic location - 1 block from the beautiful shopping district - 1 block from the Chain bridge. We were able to walk everywhere. The nightime panoramic view of the Danube and the castle was breathtaking. The hotel room was spacious and clean and the staff was unbelievably helpful and service-oriented. This will definitely be our destination hotel on our next visit. The only negative was the price of cocktails at the hotel bar - a steep 25 US dollars for one Vodka Tonic. While we understood that we were in a "high end" tourist area, We thought that price tag was excessive for a drink outside at the bar.

My daughter and I stayed at this wonderful hotel on a fly/drive trip through Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. Our room was on an upper floor with a fantastic river view. Our room and bath were very spacious and immaculate For Europe, this is definitely a five star hotel. The staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and do everything possible to make you feel welcome. My daughter's luggage missed our flight and concierge made phone calls and followed up until it arrived (all without our asking). Amazing! The staff were extremely helpful in assisting us with public transportation cards and explaining how it worked and where we could access it. Everyone is extremely accommodating. I cannot compliment and thank the staff enough. They truly enhanced our stay. I hope to go back again. Budapest is a fantastic city in every way.

Located right at the river near the Chain Bridge, the Intercontinenal was easy to find and close to the main shopping and within walking distance of several sights. Spa is available but we did not use it nor the restaurant.

You couldn't find a hotel in a better location, unless had a room in the middle of Chain Bridge. The hotel is within walking distance of Parliament, St. Stephen's, the Chain Bridge, and Castle Hill. I had a room overlooking the street, but I suppose if you want to pay a few more forints, you can get a view of the Danube. The room was comfortable, and the staff was very helpful.

Everything was great but the TV- only news channels in English. Other languages had entertainment.

English speaking front desk and concierge staff very informed and helpful. Hotel room was immaculate and had all amenities. The bed was very comfortable. It had a feather bed topper and 2 down pillows. This was very important on account of all the walking we did. The location of the Intercontinental is perfect for the traveller who likes to take in the sights and sounds of a vibrant historic city by foot. On one occasion we used the city tram which was steps away from the hotel. We loved Budapest and in six busy days there we explored the attractions including the ballet and a concert at the brand new Bela Bartok performance centre.

I was there for work for six nights. The hotel charges 25 Euros for 24 hrs of wired internet. You can only get Wi-Fi at their lounge area which is not very impressive. My room had broken drapes and every morning I was woken up by bright sun rise. I asked them to fix it several times but nothing was done. I think it is a Hungarian thing but even the hotel staffs were somewhat rude.

Hotel offers spectacular views of the Chain Bridge, Castle Hill, and Fishermans Bastion if you choose a room with a Danube view. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Room was clean and spacious.

Castle View room worth every penny, absolutely fabulous at night. Nice, clean, rooms: furniture typical of Inter-Continental: king bed, table with 2 chairs, roomy dresser and closet. Big picture window framed a fabulous view of the river and castle on the other side from all floors. Great sidewalk cafe. 1 blk from chain Bridge. Friendly. helpful staff.

Highlights - staff very helpful. Easy parking. Very nice rooms. Good location.
