DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!! This is more like a hostel... absolutely horrible!!!! First: when we checked in, the eoom was NOT cleaned! (We did’nt check in before 20:40, so they had all day to clean it!!!) 2. The bedsheets had holes in them! 3. Behind the bathroomdoor, there was a cap for syringes! Euw! 4. There was mold behind both of the beds. 5. We had a NON-smoking room, but someone had been smoking a lot in there! 6. There was hair everywhere! 7. There were sigarettes in the sink Overall: VERY dirty! NOT WORTH THE MONEY! We had to book another hotell, NO way we want to sleep around syringes! This is the WORST HOTELL I HAVE EVER SLEPT IN!!!
Before I start let me put this into context I paid £80 for four nights bed and breakfast for both us...ok il begin now! Arrived around midnight and reception was quick, slick and painless,we were directed to our room (18) up the stairs to a door and once through the door we were in an outside corridor(weird I know!) was a bit worried wether our room would be freezing or not(it was -10 outside) but thank god it was lovely and warm. The room had a good sized double bed with loads of storage space, clean and I think newly decorated a nice size ,with a tv (58 channels but no English ones!) the bathroom had a good powerful hot shower and we had fresh towels,we had a maid every day and overall the room was more than adequate (maybe just an English Channel or 2!!??) breakfast was yes basic but again adequate (coffee/tea/toast/jam/sausages/scrambled eggs/ham and cheese) the chaps on reception were very friendly and helpful and the location was well placed for the metro, bus or tram roughly taking 10mins into town, all in all a great value for money stay no complaints from us!!!
This hotel has a good location. Near the hotel, there is market and metro yellow line. Only 5 minutes and you in downtown. The staff of the hotel polite and could help you anytime. Every morning tasty coffee and not bad English breakfast. If you plan to stay in Budapest for several days with the company or alone this hotel pretty good, but if you don't plan to sit at number all day.
Stayed for 2nights in November for the Christmas markets.good location but that is it..very dated & badly maintained.Room very dull & grimy.certainly not worthy of a 3 star rating more like a 1 star.Breakfast passable but quite basic. There was a terrible stink in the bathroom like stagnant water would go in the shower in case I caught legionaries desease.
Safety wise i will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone. I got a room at the extreme back of the hotel along a corridor that was partially opened to the elements namely the extreme cold. The corridor was long and lonely and opened over a somewhat abandoned and scary old house, there was no further lighting along this corridor. The light above my room door was not working so it was incredibly dark . Even though I mentioned the light needed replacing at the front desk it wasn’t fixed. Safe to say everyday I had to return early to the hotel to avoid having to pass through the poorly lit maze of a corridor. The corridor banister was also not cleaned for the duration of my stay as an empty drink can and a dirty ashtray with cigarette butts remained in place without being cleaned.
Dirty, poorly lighted, nasty and mouldy. Wouldn't stay here again even if i was paid to do it. I felt bad for the young people in the reception, who had to deal with the fact that the room we had reserved easn't available. After one night without sleep due to the paper thin walls we checked out. This should not be allowed to serve as a hotel 💀.
Was meant to stay for a week 1st night in i ended up booking a different hotel for the last 3 nights. Very noisy mouldy bathroom worn bed sheets and bugs. Didn't feel completely safe whilst there. Not a 3star more like 1 star
Very friendly staff. Luckily we had a room on the ground floor because there is no lift and we had huge and heavy luggages. Fairly clean. Location is good, a minute walk from the yellow line underground station. Stayed for one night and I'm not sure I would stay for more than that.
Stayed one night at the end of August. Receptionist was pleasant enough. Room was clean with fresh bed linen. Breakfast edible but pretty poor. Instant coffee from a machine, hot dog sausages and plain and a bit greasy scrambled eggs and bread, and juice. Strawberry jam also. Pretty plain and basic. The wifi signal was strong. You get what you pay for basically.
Absolutely terrible staff, they do not care what issue you have. The rooms are disgusting; very dirty, dusted, with no sound insulation whatsoever. Bathroom door is broken. Today we saw a centipede in the room. The receptionist did not send a cleaner not apologize. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!
