Good location near Heroes Square. Room was generally clean and bed was comfortable. We tried to use the kettle in the room and found out that there were some rotten and smelly vegetable matters inside the kettle indicating that the kettle had not been checked or cleaned for several months. Breakfast was poor as there were not many food items to select.
Staff is not frndly... rooms not cleaned properly ... no water bottle / kettle / room service... horrible morning breakfast ... same breakfast for all 3 days.. no veg option (which i requested for and they denied ) no helping nature ... i thought not upto marks of any branded hotels ... i feeel other unbranded hotels r must better ... room cleaniness done was horriblly bad.... this hotel is not for traveller or tourist ... if u r looking for cheap hotel and thinking of this hotel please rethink on it
Lovely stay, great staff who will offer advise if you ask. Comfortable room, with hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities, TV and A/C although our Air con didn't seem to be working, told the staff and we were given a fan. Lovely start to the day with breakfast, you can always find something you can eat. Would recommend.
Hotel is currently being refurbished - lobby and reception area us finished and has a nice modern vibe. Rooms are being refurbished as well and from what we could see 1st floor is done as well. We were in the 3rd floor - still old style - however we had all we needed and all furniture was in good condition. Pos - Spacious room - clean - airconditioning - large shower - great location near heroes square - close to metro - good value for money - helpful reception staff Neg - very noisy street during the night due to cars and ambulances passing - mattress not the most comfortable; - 1 towel only per person per day (receptionist give extra towels whenever asked for - however would be nice to have it available in the room not have to ask for it)
It was easy to each by bus number 20E from Budapest Keleti by getting off at Ferenc Ter which was about an 8 minute journey and only a short walk over the road. The hotel helped in sending me an e-mail of which bus to catch from Budapest Keleti station
The hotel itself is OK according to its category, but nobody cleans the sidewalk in either direction. We've been there in January, when snow froze to the ground both in front of the entrance and the Heroes square, so it was impossible to walk away or come int the hotel without danger of falling down. It was so slippery, i scared a lot to walk. When we asked the reception why they do not clean in front of the hotel, the answer was: not our duty. We stayed there 5 days, in 5 days it wasn't cleaned but icey.
Good three star Hotel located just off Heroes Square and opposite a very nice large Park, and close to several different types of public transport for getting around, metro station is about 100 meters away. We had Room 703 which overlooked the Zoo and was very quite, very clean and comfortable with all that you needed. All the staff were well presented friendly and the reception staff were very willing to answer any questions that you had. On the day of our departure we met the Manageress of the Hotel and she explained that the restoration work which was taking place around the reception area was just about complete and hoped that it had not caused us any problems or inconvenience. Breakfast was usual continental buffet style with plenty of choice available This is a 3 star Hotel so one doesn't expect to find 5 star facilities but overall it is a very clean well run Hotel with pleasant staff willing to provide you with their local knowledge' . Would have no hesitation at all in staying again
Older style Ibis but mostly unobtrusive small scale renovations and needed maintenance happening while we were ther. Knowledgeable and friendly staff made up for no draught beer ( only bottled) till that part finished. Also close to metro station and on a direct bus route from the main train station. Beware taxi scam at station. Will show you an official looking piece of paper saying your hotel is in zone whatever like at some airports and you have to pay something ridiculous for a few km.
We stayed 3 nights at this hotel through a Gate1 tour and overall, had a terrible experience. The room was Spartan and more like a hostel with no hand soap, shampoo, coffee pot, uncomfortable beds and thin towels. There was a tiny TV that had limited channels and slow internet service. Overall, the room was a huge disappointment. When we arrived a little early, there was construction in the lobby and the desk clerk told us to come back 2 hours later. We returned an hour later and luckily, another clerk let us in. Since there was no coffee pot, we arrived at the breakfast buffet 15 minutes early hoping to get a cup of coffee. The kitchen manager had a fit that lasted 20 minutes. She turned off the lights and moved a couch to block the entryway into the dining room. This was not a very pleasant way to spend our morning, so I talked to the desk clerk who told me there was nothing he could do. When we were allowed to eat, breakfast was mediocre. There was no meat or pastries and what was available was stale. We were so surprised that Gate1 would book this hotel since the others have been nice. For what we paid, we should not been expected to endure this terrible hotel.
Nice and clean rooms with good beds. Free WIFI available. Very good breakfast. Heroes Square, two museum, big park and city ZOO is near the hotel. Metro station that lead directly to the city center is few hundred meters away. Parking is available but it cost 12€ per day.
