Loved this hotel, it was easy to get to using bus 100E and then the metro to Hosok Tere. Staff were friendly and helpful, bar is open 24 hours for drinks and bar snacks (pizza, maybe sandwiches) which was very welcome as we arrived quite late. Room was spacious with comfortable bed and air con, so we could keep the window shut as the road is noisy (but you don't hear it). We bought 7 day travel passes at Deak Ferenc when we got off the airport bus ( you have to pay this separately anyway) so we could get thee metro, but also the 105 bus which stops right outside and goes right along Andrassy Ut. Also near the wonderful Szechenyi baths. Can't comment on breakfast as we didn't use. Only thing I would have liked extra would be a kettle in the room, but I would definitely stay here again.
We spent 4 nights here with our 2 teenagers, who really enjoyed their stay. A very comfortable, clean and affordable hotel. The location of this hotel is really good- near the metro, close to Szechenyi Baths and heroes square. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Good WiFi. Reasonable buffet breakfast. Nice outdoor area to sit and relax.
A stone-throw away from Budapest's Heroe's Square, this budget-friendly hotel has a lot to offer. Their rooms are surprisingly spacious and their breakfast options are above average if I could say so myself. Being a short 5-minute walk to the Heroe's Square, the famous Szechenyi Thermal Bath and the Vajdahunyad Castle are also quite nearby. Highly recommended for travelers of Budapest.
Ibis Heroes Square fulfills the Ibis model -- clean, functional, comfortable, affordable. The location of this hotel is good - an easy metro ride to the center of things and an easy walk to Szechenyi Baths, our favorite. Also nearby is Bagolyvar Etterem, the very pleasant sister restaurant of the much more expensive Gundel. Food comes from the same kitchen. It is a good idea to opt for the breakfast buffet at Ibis since there are no cafes with easy walking distance. The staff was very helpful in giving us a room with a shower, rather than a tub, and keeping my ice packs in the freezer -- recent broken arm.
Chose this hotel for a long weekend break for the f1. Good comfortable, clean hotel. Friendly helpful staff on reception and bar/restaurant. Small menu in restaurant but the meals are very nice, especially the Goulash. Only problem is breakfast, its not really made for us Brits, no proper cooked food, mostly cheese, breads & cereals, so depends what you like whether its worth including or not. We did struggle to find a normal fry up anywhere all weekend!
A 3 star hotel and exactly what I needed. Perfect location - all kinds of public transport nearby, and within walking distance of the city centre. It was clean, my room was big, and even though it was facing the street there was no noise from outside. Breakfast was quite basic, not a lot of choice, but good - fresh and filling. Staff was both friendly and knowledgeable, and even though the hotel was very full when I was there, they always had time for just one more question :)
It was very comfortable stay. We loved our room #420 has beautiful view, big window. Ibis is only short walk from famous Szechenyi spa and metro station.very good location for family with children. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially young man at reception and the gentleman in bar. All hotel was very clean and comfortable. We would love to stay again while enjoying beautiful Budapest next time. Thank you for very nice stay :)
Good hotel in a fabulous location. The rooms are all typically generic, but clean and comfortable. The safe's are a bit small (too small to contain an iPad) but otherwise the rooms are fine. Breakfast is available for an extra charge (£7 pppd) and is fabulous value for money and has a good selection (good enough to provide for our vegan friend) and is very tasty. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and there is a reasonably stocked bar. My only minor complaint is that the wifi is a tad slow and erratic. Location wise, there is a fantastic restaurant literally across the road serving traditional Hungarian food at ridiculously cheap prices. There is also a supermarket less than 100m away, heroes Square a 5 minute walk as is the nearest Metro station and the Szecsenyi Pool is 10 minutes away.
It is just a throw away form Heroes Square, and 5 min from the Metro, it is also about 15min away from the thermals which one must go and spend a day. Staff of the hotel really really friendly, they even printed out for us the airline tickets.
Have great bed's, you thing you sleep in cloud . Don't have only shampoo in bathroom. Next my visit will be with my pet. Hotel is nearby to Zoo Park and so many history places ho have great story.....
