Nice and clean rooms with good beds. Free WIFI available. Very good breakfast. Heroes Square, two museum, big park and city ZOO is near the hotel. Metro station that lead directly to the city center is few hundred meters away. Parking is available but it cost 12€ per day.
Location is right next to Heroes Park and the famous baths so ideal for visiting those. Public transport is very close and easy to get to Pest, Castle area and river. Clean and comfortable rooms with friendly staff. Didn't have breakfast. Only annoying thing was you need wifi login details from reception but I find out until I got to the room.
Stayed here for 4 nights. Close access to underground only 5 mins walk away, also close to Heroes Square, a big park, and thermal baths. Staff helpful and friendly. Large room but old Ibis style, however clean and tidy. Bit of a trek from the airport but would stay here again.
There is no shortage of good hotels at this price range and so I wouldn't stay there again. The rooms are the older standard ibis furnishing. The best thing this hotel has going for it is that it is a few steps from Heroe's Square, the lovely park, the thermal baths and a few excellent restaurants (like the iconic Gundel Restaurant). However, it also take 80 - 90 minutes to reach the airport if you opt for public transport (two metro lines and a bus). Service was good throughout the hotel, bed comfortable and reasonable prices at the restaurant (the server whose name is 'Pal' was very courteous). Bottom line: OK for a day or two but more deserving 3.5 trip advisor stars...
Room was comfortable but basic, breakfast was very poor but that was down to alterations taking place. Staff very friendly and very helpful. Bar had very limited stock. On the whole we enjoyed our stay at the ibis
We spent 3 nights at the Ibis Heroes Square. The front desk staff were terrific and a great morning full breakfast. They are newly remodeled and have many nice amenities. USB chargers, comfortable bedding, hair dryer. Wonderful location and ease of access to public transportation. The bathtubs are a bit treacherous and you would benefit by requesting a room with a shower in stead. No hand towels which was odd.
The room was bare bones. One plastic chair to sit in, two towels, not much else. No coffee or tea either. But, it was clean and served its purpose. It's very close to Heroes Square and a metro stop. We were there three nights and it was a night too long. If you're going to be using a hotel for more then a couple of nights, this would not be my choice. I want and need some comforts in my room. Even spending all day out, you still need your room to relax. For cheaper, clean, absolutely no frills, works well. But if you're looking for minimal comfort to unpack, relax, plan for the next day, very tough.
We arrived here to a find the reception was under refurbishment, which is fine but we don't expect to see wires on the floor by the lift, easy trip hazard, also a man blocking the path to the lift on a ladder, where there were no barrier or protection to both the worker and people staying at the hotel. The floor was dirty all around the area being refurbished and the lift, this was the first problem. The second was the attitude of the reception staff. In the morning a guy ordered us a taxi to gellert spa and when we come back an older man was sitting at the front desk. We told him we were short changed by the taxi driver the hotel had ordered us. We then asked him if he knew the company, or the guy that turned up. We wanted to put a complaint in. His simple and blunt response was "no" which was lovely. Rooms basic but clean so pretty much worth it for the price apart from the 2 problems mentioned which really grated on us!
Ibis Heroes Square is under some major construction when I stayed in mid march. The lobby was partially covered and blocked by an on-going remodeling project. Room is relatively small; bathroom showed wear and tear, and a major upgrade is needed soon. Bed is comfortable, and wifi signal is stable. Breakfast was very simple. Not a lot of variety. More hot items should be added. Do note that the hotel is at a prime location. It is 3-minute walk from Heroes square and subway station. Many food options around (see TripAdvisor recommendations). Personally I dined at Regos Restaurant (15-minute walk away), and it was delicious.
Nice hotel. Close to all attractions. Very helpful staff. Clean rooms. Good restaurants nearby. The breakfast buffet was ok and the hotel is under renovations but other than that i would definitely stay here again. Super fast wifi as well ! Basic amenities
