I wouldn't stay here again. The rooms were ok. But they have some kind of weird nightmare before Christmas statue of a spirt woman hanging off the front of the hotel. The breakfast is terrible. First of all you will be eating in the lobby. Second they are doing construction right next to the food. Third, the food itself is disgusting. Cold. The fruit came from a can. All in all, very disappointing.
Nicely renovated rooms on 1st floor . Great location , good parking conditions . The restaurant was in full renovation, so it looked like the ceiling has fallen - because of this the restaurant was a little bit dirty - but ..we coud understand this . Great value for the money ... Good breakfast , great rooms and average staff.
Good stay, nice location just few walks from Heroes square. 20 minutes walking from the Parliament and the river Danube. Ibis breakfast ok Room and bathroom well cleaned WIFI connection ok Small bar at the main entrance with night service and tv
The food was good and the service was nice. The room was clean and had two windows which was great because we had a view to Herous Square. Was also a safe location and the bus stop was just in front of hotel. And also they have a parking but we found one near hotel very cheap .
Nice clean hotel right next to heroes square and thermal baths only 2 min walk away (great location if going to sparty) and 2 min walk to metro stations. Some small cafes nearby and mini supermarkets.
My mom and I stayed in this hotel for the 60th birthday of my mom, the staff knew about it and they had put champagne and flowers in her room :-) I've mailed with the staff about it and during our mail contact I knew they would be so kind and yes it was! Everybody in the hotel is so sweet! From cleaning staff to breakfast to reception to ... So kind, polite, sweet! We had 2 rooms on the 1st floor, the 1st floor is renovated, our rooms were so big!! The beds were great, I don't sleep good in Belgium but in this hotel I slept like a baby :-) We were there for 4 days and EVERY day our room was cleaned, fresh towels,.. Breakfast oh my my don't get me started about it, it was so good and so much choice!!! Fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, boiled eggs, typical Hungarion goods,.. The location of the hotel is nearby Heroes Square where you can take the yellow metro line to the must see places of Budapest, the hop on hop off is there at the square, several busses, so the hotel is perfect to discover Budapest. Don't know why they are a 3 stars hotel, for me they should have 100.. stars!! If I may say 1 tip: a machine where you can by bottles of water, chips, chocolate,.. but that's my opinion, there are supermarkets nearby :-) Ibis Budapest Heroes Square we will be back!!! Thank you for everything!!!
New room, perhaps too new? I turned the shower on before getting in, pointed it towards the see-thru wall separating the shower place from the rest of the bathroom. There was some small design & workmanship glitch, so there was water, water and water in the bathroom and outside it. No problem though - after I told the reception they quickly took care of it. They also had no problems giving me some extra towels one day later. Good bed, good internet, a little bit of sound from the nearby traffic. No traffic extremely early or extremely late, though. Good value for money if you shop around - good deals often seem to be available both on the booking sites and on the hotel's own site. Decent espresso at a semi-decent (just slightly elevated) price available at all hours in the downstairs restaurant/bar. Didn't try the food, but it said the snack menu is available 24 hours as well.
Nic newly refurbished hotel Rooms very clean and tidy. Staff could be slightly unhelpful by in general they were OK Breakfast was ok not very appetising having the same thing everyday perhaps they need to review this. We enjoyed our stay overall
Stayed here for 2 nights. Arrived at Budapest main railway station at night. There is stop outside the station which has direct connectivity to heroes square. Hotel is 100 m walking from the stop. The person at the reception gave us a warm welcome and also gave us the room with the best view on our request. The room was spacious. The amenities were a standard as available in all ibis hotels. It's location was the best part because heroes square was just a 2 min walk away and the szechenyi thermal bath had good connectivity with the buses. There is a metro station at heroes square which makes commuting to the city center easy. The breakfast had a good spread of items . Being a vegetarian did not face any issues . An excellent budget accommodation
Very convenient location near the subway station, we were able to get everywhere we needed from there. A small store on the next block was used for snacks and sodas. We were geocaching and the 7 or 8 hidden in the park across the street was an excellent start. I've only had one bed more comfortable before and that was on a Carnival cruise lines ship, although it was also about the same size, which for my body means it fit like a coffin. The best thing of all is there are shades under the drapes and I've never had a darker room before. Not even light coming in under the hall door. For a hotel that caters to Gate 1 travel customers and presumably more American's it was a surprise for the youn g night clerk to not understand English but he was able to get help from other staff in getting an answer. The biggest disappointment was not having an ice machine. We were instructed to get some from the bar and received 2 think glasses with 4 mini cubes in each one. First filling of soda and the ice melted and was gone. The second night, we had forgotten to buy soda at a store and needed a couple bottles. We paid 10 times more for a tiny 4 oz bottle than 1.5 liters cost us at the corner store. A vending machine is needed at the hotel. Overall it is a good place to stay.
