Courtyard by Marriott Budapest City Center

Visited during Christmas time and loved the fact that we could walk to the city center and all the Christmas markets and amazing view as it over looks the Danube river. Great location and would definitely go back on our next visit

The level set expectations, the neighborhood is not the best in the area. I’ve seen worse, but after a confrontation actually in front of the hotel from some money peddlers I would NOT recommend this hotel. The staff at check in was great, he was precise and took care of check in very efficiently. As to the room, it was spacious for European hotels. There was dust on the nightstand table lamps and we could hear the rooms above us when then used their water, or toilet, as it seems that the drain was down through our rooms walls. Parking is in a shared garage with a shopping center, so you must come through the mall and walk onto the street to get into the hotel, not quite what I was expecting. Our overall experience with the city was ok, but it had several poor experiences too. The local shop people will make no attempt to speak English, so be very prepared to deal with abrupt people. I even took out my phone and used google translate and they would not even look at it.

Its not on the river like some other hotels but its a nice 15 minute walk and there are plenty of things to see on the way to the river. Taxis and Trams are also available but walking is more fun.Budapest is a great walking Standard Marriott quality. Great staff. Has fitness center and near many places to eat from local fast food to fine dining.

Modern, huge and clean rooms with great staff. We almost felt like home. Τry to lower your prices, especially those of the food, and perhaps try to increase the variety of breakfast in order to reach perfection.

This hotel was well located to visit the sights... Very close to the New York Cafe and relatively close to the Danube, the Parliament, the Castle, Heroe's Square, etc. The room was comfortable and had all necessary amenities. Breakfast was rather crowded and I may have been unlucky in that it seemed some large groups had coincided at breakfast.

The hotel was really great. Close enough to the Danube that we walked there and walked back through the Jewish quarter which was very atmospheric. Breakfast was great. Staff friendly. Rooms were comfortable.

Nice hotel, excellent kitchen, the breakfast is an must! The rooms are comfortable, larg bed, only single beds. Many crew members of different airways Companies stay there for the night. Beautifull flight attendents 😁👌

Central and close to metro so very convenient, the staff were very helpful, quick checking in and advised of local places, we love a Marriott, they are always good, warm comfortable and a good nights sleep in a comfy bed-room was on 6th floor with road view with a floor to ceiling window, would def recommend asking for this view, could sit and watch world go by and this was lovely in the evening when the buildings lit up. Used the sauna, ask at reaction and ensure it's warned up and ready for you, it's a small sauna but clean and with private changing room,Cleaning/ housekeeping staff, always friendly and smiled, felt welcomed.

Large clean and modern room and bathroom. Large choice of food and drink for breakfast and if a fairly good quality. Excellent staff at the reception. There are many trams stopping close-by and the metro line 2. Worth mentioning some very good restaurants and nightclubs 10 min walk from the hotel. So no real charm but super practical for an acceptable price. About 20-30 min from the airport (taxi)

In a city where five star standards are easily attained, I would have expected a bit more. Not to say that the room or amenities were not OK - they were. But both my wife and I felt very much as if this hotel did not try to adapt to the location. It was as cookie cutter as one could get. The rooms, while large, felt a bit empty. The location is quite central, and is close to public transit.
