We stayed for one night after cruise. Firstly ALL the staff we met were outstanding, helpful and polite. The room was clean but tired, needs updating. Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Would definitely stay here again.
I stayed here in mid-June while on a Business Trip to Budapest. The hotel was very nice all around. The rooms were nice (some had views but not all), the staff was super friendly and helpful, and everything we tried in the restaurant was delicious. The location is not in the real center of the city (as in it's not right off the Danube) but there were all the conveniences needed there and is very close to where you can pick up transit to go anywhere.
Stayed here for one night prior to European River cruise. Nice hotel with good breakfast and location. Some poor aspects of customer service at reception resulted in us being placed in a disabled room although we have no disabilities told only room available at check in time ? Nice friendly staff at dining room.
Nice modern hotel with fairly large room, in-room safe, free WiFi, and free breakfast buffet. About a 25 minute walk to the main sightseeing area. Bus and subway nearby if you prefer. Several restaurants and shops nearby.
Its at Blaha Lujza Ter (square) very well connected by public transport. Although stop of a hop on hop off is 1 stop away near New York palace. Reception was helpful and arranged for our shuttles. NO idea of their restaurants as we had breakfast next door in Om cafe . Indian restaurant Delhi Durbar is 350 mtrs away and so also lebanese restaurant.Europeam mall a small one though is next door. Spar is next door too and also another super market. Its 1.3 km from Budapest Keleti terminal. Dont expect any views except one wing which has a view of the square. Only we got one room there. All basics of a Marriott but not the ones like in Asia where hospitality is few steps ahead .
The hotel itself is fine. Rooms are clean, large, great view (at least the room I had). Unfortunately I didn't know that the neighborhood would be rough this being my first trip to the city. It is very dirty, smelly and a lot of homeless people around the square next to the hotel. I don't think it's dangerous, but I would not have booked it if I knew. The pros are that it is very close to the train station, metros and buses and awesome food at the Jewish quarter.
Originally I thought it was out of the way, but I quickly realized how easy it was to get around! Bus and subway are close! The hotel is modern, clean, staff friendly & accommodating! Beds are comfortable! We really enjoyed our stay!
Spent 2 nights in a "standard" room. Good, large room with only a few "free" amenities. We had reasonable service but were disappointed with the breakfast selection and the "warm" fried eggs. I would say a good place for business users-very fast efficient lifts, but not for leisure.
We stayed at the Courtyard Budapest City Center for three nights in June with our daughter and grandson. I was very impressed by the staff in the dining and bar area, especially Gabe. He was extremely helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and priced well. The rooms were clean and comfortable, though not fancy. The hotel is located right by public transit. We absolutely loved the Hungarian people and this beautiful up and coming city. The only negative about the hotel is that there was no laundry on site as was stated on the Marriott website. It was very inconvenient.
Good first night in Budapest. Excellent service with the front desk staff; very much attentive. Room are courtyard branding, you could not distinguish whether in Budapest or Nashville, TN. Good room amenities and comfort. The best was the location for good walks and access to Metro and tram lines.
