If you expect a 4 star hotel then go elsewhere. This was our second trip to Budapest and we couldn't fault the location however the hotel is fairly basic. The reception area is nice and modern. We paid 90 euros for an upgrade on the room - king size bed and street view. This turned out to mean traffic noise and two single beds pushed together. The room was fairly large however a bit scruffy round the edges (cheap furniture and scuffed walls). Dirty floors. By the second day I had a bad back from the bed (I'm only 28) but not ideal as an athlete competing in the world championships. The air conditioning however can't be faulted and very much in need considering how hot it was. We repeatedly asked reception to borrow and iron and ironing board to be told there is only one for the whole hotel and it was in another guests room so to try another time. The bathroom is also fairly large however the shower over the bath is way too low, I'm 5ft 6 and could only just fit under it, my partner on the other hand at 5ft 11 was unable to shower properly. The breakfast let a lot to be desired. On weekdays this runs from 7-10.30am however we found going down at 10am meant there was little left on the buffet and all the plates and bowls were being put away by staff. We even saw one guy eating yoghurt out of a coffee glass by 10.15am. Otherwise a slightly odd choice - rum balls, salad and carrots were included in breakfast items The hotel generally seems under staffed with only one person running the reception and bar from breakfast onwards and at times reception was left unmanned. Following our trip we received a credit card charge despite settling bill with cash in full and being told credit card transaction was cancelled
The hotel is situated near the city center, aprox. 10-15 min by foot, but in a noisy neighborhood, the mattress is not comfortable, breakfast ok.., there is no parking place, only on the street where you have to pay till 6pm.
Situated in the city centre, clean and tidy rooms and bathrooms, friendly staff, great breakfast. The service was very good, too.All in all, it was worth staying at the Atrium. I would readily recommend it to family and friends.
On arrival we got a warm welcome at reception. The place looked and felt like somewhere we would enjoy staying at. Our room on the second floor was spotlessly clean reasonably sized and very comfortable. On the whole a well presented Hotel, our only minor points in comparison to other hotels was small bath towels and bland breakfast choice, so much more could v Be done i.e. cooked egg style choice . In summary the place is tidy, clean & well worth a stay, its in walking distance & close to lots of attractions, best of all most things can be booked with the reception team. Thank you.
Nice hotel for the price, great breakfast with a lot to choose. Service minded personnel that helped us to print boarding passes and book taxi. The hotel was a little bit off from the city centre but still walkable (approximately 25 minutes). Good experience!
I highly recommend tourists to stay at this hotel. As the location is very convenient for sightseeing with all forms of transport available right outside the front door (bus/tram/metro/taxi).The hotel premises are new & clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful regarding all matters such as sightseeing destinations, best transport to use for visiting particular tourist spots, best places to get good foreign exchange rates. The breakfast is fantastic. You must try it !
We came for the F1. We found the room perhaps a little too small for 2 people, however it was clean and had everything that we needed for 5 day stay. We found the staff very helpful especially Sabina on Reception she could not do enough to help us and make our stay very enjoyable. The night reception man Ishmael (I think) also very good got us taxis and gave very good advice about not getting into an unhooked taxi. Breakfast good and plenty of choice. Would stay here again.
The hotel is a city hotel located near metro and tram lines. The hotel is clean and rooms are spacious. The breakfast is a European style, but good breakfast. We stayed there for 5 nights. The hotel staff has excellent service and they were very helpful. The rooms are cleaned every day. I recommend this hotel for couples and family with teens. Near the hotel there are also fast food restaurants and a small shopping center with H&M. DM shop next to the hotel and a bakery that is open all the time. Very easy to get anywhere from this hotel to the rest of the city.
Good room and breakfast was great and plenty of it, The bathroom was really superb and shower was great the Staff were helpful and friendly, once you get your bearings it's very central with good public transport 'AAA'
Stayed here for 4 nights. Great location, great breakfast, lovely room. Wished we could have stayed longer. Most importantly, the staff were all excellent and helpful. Good value for money. Wish we could find similar hotel in other cities but havent yet!
