La Quinta Inn & Suites Phoenix West Peoria

Nice hotel close to a lot

We stayed here for 5 days. The room was not super clean. There was hair in the fridge, in the drawers and on the bathroom floor. Sorry, but nothing grosses me out using a "clean" hotel bathroom and looking down to see other peoples pubes all over the floor and random hairs on the counters. Ugh. The bed was really firm and comfy and overall the room was great. We did have an issue with a maid/guest leaving our fridge open, so it took almost a day to cool. We let them know upon arrival and were told someone would check it out the following morning. No one ever did. My biggest complaint was noise. We got unlucky and had some young partiers next door who were smoking (multiple things), super loud and constantly slamming doors. It's a non smoking hotel too. The worst was a maid at 10am. She was cleaning our neighbors place and must have yelled for 30 minutes straight to her coworker down the hall. Laughing, slamming doors, yelling. It was beyond unprofessional. We were also there when some thieves decided to cut the wires to the outdoor lamps and steal all 4 tires off of some guys rental car. They said it was the first time anything like that had ever happened. We stayed there 4 more nights and I did feel safe. But, don't park in the back of the building and always know there are opportunists, even in nice, super populated areas.

Motel 6 Phoenix Sun City - Youngtown

Access to Spring Training sites

Motel is on Grand Blvd, northwest of Phoenix. As with all Motel 6, no frills, just a clean, basic room. Staff made sure standards were upheld. Downside, location was also ideal for some work groups, who used as their temporary base. Why? After work the work gangs enjoyed drinking, smoking and being loud - but to their credit the noise usually stopped around 10 PM. There is a railroad track across the highway. It does seem closer when train blows whistle during night though. Knowing shortcomings, I actually would stay again because it was the only motel that didn’t significantly increase their rates during Spring Training.

La Quinta Inn & Suites Phoenix I-10 West

Clean, comfy, location so-so

A clean, well-maintained hotel, nice comfy room and bed. Breakfast included. Cool even in the heat of summer! Two small issues: the room temp control seemed a bit moody, and there was no butter for the toast at breakfast.

Days Inn Buckeye AZ

Convenient Location

This hotel met my expectations. My only comment was that the shower temperature adjustment was problematic - could not get cooler water at a higher flow rate.
