Boston Hotel Buckminster

Suite room was clean, large and had everything we needed! All for a really great price! I am a fan and would def go back if in the Boston area!

I picked Hotel Buckminster for all of the wrong reasons. My travel buddy was my daughter--a high school junior shopping for colleges far, far from home. I wanted us to stay in an an older, shabbier hotel to make her maybe not like Boston so much. That plan failed. HB is definitely an "older" hotel, but it is NOT shabby and it completely charmed both of us. From our amazing view of Fenway to the friendly and cookie-worthy Steve at the front desk, the whole place made us feel special. Plus: historical relevance. And comfy beds. And quiet electrical thingies (whispery fan, heater, and refrigerator).

We chose this hotel due to his location and price and were quite pleased with the accommodations. Check in was easy, and we were even given $20 in food credit that could be used at the hotel's restaurant. The room was clean and spacious. Bedding was comfortable. My only complaint would be the bathroom. It seemed very small for the size of the room, and 2 people could not be in there at the same time which was a little frustrating when getting ready in the morning. If ever back in Boston, I would stay here again.

The hotel was very nostalgic, but had plenty of disappointing issues with the room.

Stayed here for two nights while attending two Red Sox games. The hotel is just a very short walk to the ballpark. Located in Kenmore Square and easily accessible to the subway, it's perfect for anyone visiting Boston to see the sites or touring Boston University. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The location and hotel were great, however the staff was not all that friendly. I would stay her again

This was a great convenient location...however the parking fees were outrageous.

After arriving I was taken back by how nice the lobby was and the fantastic location! The room was disappointingly small and the desks and future in the room was all scratched up or failing apart. I was told my room would have a city view and all I actually saw was a nice brick wall out my window. The room also had a strange odor and housekeeping came before we were even scheduled to check out.

The trip was great. The hotel needs some work in the rooms. The carpet was frayed in spots and there was one spot on the floor where I think part of the flooring was missing as you could feel it when you stepped. The WiFI would frequently cut out. However, the bed was very comfortable as was the heat system. Location was great, near the T and near the on off Trolly. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I thought it was a bit expensive for Sat. night but it's Boston and I guess they can get those prices. The other days were reasonable but an extra $150 for Sat. seemed a bit high.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to take full advantage of this trip. We weren't able to spend the night since there was a huge snowstorm coming our way, so we ended up driving back home early to beat the worst of it. What we saw of the hotel was nice enough. We should have known, being as old a hotel as it is, not to expect the cookie-cutter modern style that you expect with chains. Our two-bed room had separate rooms for each bed, which was very different. Might be great for some people, but it wasn't what we were expecting. It was definitely spacious though, and clean. The view of the city was great!

Best place to stay when in town to catch a game. Next to train station so easy to get around rest of boston

Overall my experience at the Hotel was good and I loved the location. however I was given 2 dinner vouchers and was told I would receive continental breakfast. Well I got the dinner vouchers but not the breakfast and I was very disappointed and they was having issues in the business center and I couldn't print my boarding pass. Was able to go to the Tea Party Muesem.

Great place to stay if your going to a Sox game! Literally you walk over a bridge at your at Fenway!

great location for red sox game, right around the corner.Staff was fine, just had a play with key to get door open for room. Would stay again with out a doubt!

We were in town for a vacation, our first time to Boston, the location of our hotel was great and we enjoyed our week there.

This hotel is within walking distance of Fenway Park and the T line which can take you anywhere else in the city. The restaurants are all within walking distance too. Rooms are large suites so large two king beds and bath with large living room and sleeper sofa. Restaurant in area lobby is fantastic.

Charming, historic hotel within walking distance of many great bars, restaurants and venues.

Staff were great!!! Room was clean and Hotel 5 minute walk to Fenway. The T is located within minutes as well. Will definately stay again when in town

I stayed to attend a conference. Chose hotel for distance from site and cost. This was a super value. When I arrived, learned that it is not only close to Boston University, but right in the heart of Kenmore square and right behind Fenway Park. There was not much foot traffic at the time I went. I later learned that it was spring break. The room was great for my needs - very comfortable and clean, however many may not like the very small television. The only put off was there was a dry sink and cabinet in the room for the refrigerator that was badly damaged. It should either be repaired or removed as it makes the room look bad. It is a great spot for parents visiting students in the city.

Its great hotel in great location that all i can say. definitely 5*
