I needed a place to sleep overnight in the Boston area. This was out of the way but the price was affordable. Desk staff was able to sign me in, but it was all very no frills, and I read in someone else's review that it was not there 24 hours--[...]which is a serious problem if you plan to arrive late. The building is poorly maintained but passable. Shower grout was a little grungy. Tiles in closet ceiling had a several inch gap revealing empty space above that who knows what was above--I decided not to use the closet, which at least sealed as a regular door. Sheets and towels were clean and lock seemed to function, though scratches on wall suggested evidence of some sort of prior event. In all, it's a pretty safe town so that didn't worry me overly, but it shows poor upkeep. Had fridge and microwave that I didn't try. Came with soaps and shampoos. Phones were an extra. TV functioned and had on-screen guide, but I tried a couple of movie channels and it tried to tell me I didn't have that service, as if it was household service--not one of those hotel cable services. Heat/cool through one of those in-room all-purpose boxes that has hi/lo cool and hi/lo heat and fan all in one box, mostly making lots of white noise. I felt better sleeping with the light on, for some reason, not something I'd do at most hotels--whether a Hyatt or a Red Roof. There was in some sense really nothing wrong with this motel per se, but it was really just the rock bottom minimum you could get by with. I didn't like the place much, but it did its job for one night. I was glad to be out of there.
Thank you
