I don't normally write reviews, but my stay at the Chateau Hotel changed my mind. The staff was very good at taking care of their guests. The hotel was booked solid during our stay and they went above and beyond to stay on top of things.

The price was definitely great, as we stayed there the night before the solar eclipse and they did not raise their prices like most other places. Even though we were about 150 miles from the totality path it was completely booked, and the free breakfast was totally packed at 7 am. The manager and staff did a fantastic job refilling the breakfast supplies and getting us all on the road asap. The place is a little bit run down, mattress was not great, room clean but not perfectly clean, but it was an incredible bargain and a perfect place for us that

Hot tub is always disgusting and pool is always cold and dirty. Certain staff are wonderful Jeremy, Moses and Richard ....all of the housekeeping staff is absolutely amazing and work so hard. They are wonderful!! Other could be a little more responsible and accommodating, especially with guest who stay several days and weeks out of every month there.

Dated. Long hallway and walk to room.

Very interesting place to stay. It looks like an authentic castle.

Everyone was very professional there. The beds were extremely comfortable and bathroom was nicely updated. Breakfast was great for being a free with your stay meal. What we didn't like was that you could hear doors slamming shut and children either above us or on the same floor running/jumping around. There probably isn't much you can do about that--unless you try to get families with kids in one side of the hotel? Some people absolutely do not know how to teach their children to be respectful in public places.

Nice hotel but is showing its age.

Love the place Love the staff HOT TUB IS ALWAYS BROKEN OR DIRTY OR BOTH POOL IS ALWAYS COLD 😔 FIX these little details and this is the only place I stay! Still overall a very nice hotel!! I recommend

room lacking toliet paper holders walls needed painted rooms below par over priced

I used to live in the area about 20 years ago, and knew the Chateau to be a nice hotel. Not anymore. Trashy would be the best word to describe it now. The person working the desk when I checked in was very obviously sick - congested and coughing. Very little sleep was to be had that night, as there were loud groups of people roaming the hallways constantly between 3-6 am. You could even hear them outside. It seemed like the hotel staff turned a blind eye to it. When I called the front desk to report it, I received a very uninterested response, almost as if this person knew the offenders. The person said they would take care of it, but the noise continued. It appeared that part of the hotel was renovated, but they just ran out of money and have given up. One of the elevators was fine, the other was stripped down and had “pardon our dust” signs in it, where people have started ripping and writing messages on. In addition, there were at least two live insects found in the shower (which had no door or curtain). Breakfast was in a very small, sad looking room. Overall it was just sad to see this once nice hotel that no one seems to care about anymore.

Very nice

Poor elevators

I was thankful to find a very decent and cool looking property that allowed my dog for the evening. AND the room did not smell of other dirty dogs or pet mistakes. The only complaint would be is to fix the other elevator as the one that works was extremely slow/old.

The clerk at the desk was dressed poorly, not in business casual. Several areas of the hotel are blocked off and not being used. No restaurant, coffee bar, or cocktail lounge. Not a good place to stay for a traveling businessman.

I will start by reviewing the positives - affordable, clean, quiet, friendly staff, comp hot breakfast. With all that being said, this hotel needs some TLC. The decor is straight out of the 1990s. There seems to have little to no updates to the main areas and rooms. I think our bathroom was updated but the shower didn't work. The rooms feel very claustrophobic. There was not a phone or clock in our room . The bed was comfortable and the TV worked. We were only in town for a night so it wasn't horrible. I don't know if we would stay there again but for the price it was fine.
