Courtyard Bloomington Normal3.0 out of 5.0

We ended up stuck in the area because of car issues and were very lucky to have found the Courtyard when we did. The staff was absolutely top notch. Genuinely concerned about making sure that we had everything we needed. They allowed my family a late checkout, then let us hang around in the lobby (w/ board games for our daughter) until the mechanics had fixed our car. They even gave us an upgrade because we were traveling with a little one and could use the suite. Very accommodating, arguably the most personable service I've seen at a chain hotel. The room itself was spacious and clean. The sofa bed wasn't particularly comfortable, but they rarely are. Otherwise, we were happy with the accommodations. If we found ourselves in Bloomington again, we'd stay here.
Been to the hotel twice in the last year and still under construction. Had some construction noise near the rear of hotel around 630-700am (weekday), other than that pretty quiet during my stays. Friendly staff, no food included, bistro type food and bar in lobby for additional fee.
I have stayed at this property a few times now for work and have had good experiences each time. Big positive to this hotel is that has been recently updated. The rooms, hallways, and common areas are all nice. It convenient to an assortment of chain restaurants and stores, if that is a big need. It is a little bit outside of Uptown Normal, so if you want to be in a city center type location. This is not it. But the best part would be the staff. I was stricken ill on my last trip and essentially confined to my room and they were very nice on countless trips down to the lobby for Gatorade. Great option in the area!
Great location with lots of easy to get to dining, shopping, etc. The staff makes this an exceptional place to stay. Long day on the road and I was greeted by a bright smile and warm welcome. Room was nicely appointed and very spacious. The walk in shower was a nice feature. If you utilize the Bistro, you have to see Barb!!! Super nice lady who makes you feel like you're in your hometown. Well be staying here regularly for business!
This Courtyard is located conveniently on the northeast side of town in a quiet area but is within minutes of most of the shopping and dining on the east side of town. We were in town for one night and were happy enough with our room. We got a two room suite and there was a balcony on the bedroom as well as the living room. Not a huge deal but it impressed our 6-year-old. The check-in was efficient and the staff was polite so getting to our room was a breeze. My only issue was the size of the pull-out in the living room. We travel with two pre-teen children and the bed was only big enough for one of them. Luckily, we were only traveling with one of our kids that evening so it worked out just fine but if we would have had them both it would've been a problem. Parking was adequate as was the Internet speed so I would recommend this spot if you are in need of a room in the Bloomington-Normal area.
I stayed here for one night because the one in Peoria is fully booked. Overall its new and have been refurbished. The lemon, orange water at the lobby is a nice touch. There were people at the parking lot drinking, chit chatting and may have even been barbequeing LOL. First time Ive seen that before. They may be guests from the Comfort Inn across the parking lot. My room 320 had dim lights by the sink, I dont think its mood lighting. I could be losing my eyesight too. The worst part was the mysterious stain on the shower floor. So I tippy toed around it when I took a shower. As I checked out, the elevator was broke so I knew then it wasn't going to be a perfect day at my client today.
This is our go-to hotel when traveling to Bloomington Illinois. The courtyard is located in a good area and they have the bistro to purchase food and drinks from. There was a couple of mishaps on this trip but they were corrected right away.
We have been on the road for two weeks. We stopped here at the beginning and at the end of our travels. It was the best hotel we stayed in. It was so spacious and clean and lovely. The second time we were greeted like returning friends . The beds were so comfortable .. The towels were large and fluffy.. The fitness room has two treadmills, an elliptical machine and free weights and lots of floor space..the waitresses at the Bistro were so accompanying... Especially to our handicapped daughter . I wish we lived closer and we'd go back again
The Courtyard at bloomington, normal was quite nice. The lobby area and restaurant are well decorated, the pool area clean. The rooms were exceptional. Decorated very nice, beds were comforatable and the shower area was amazing with large glass door. The staff we came in contact with were very personable and efficient. The restaurant we ate in one night was quite good and the server, Julie was great. She also works the front desk. overall, I would definitely recommend the Marriott Courtyard for any stay in the area.
I had a pleasant stay at the Courtyard during a recent business trip. The hotel manager was at the front desk when I checked in and was obviously happy to let me know that their recent renovations are complete. Apparently the pool and lobby areas were the main areas updated and they did look good. Everything was very clean and the staff was very friendly. Sounds like this renovation was needed but I think the hotel is now as nice as any comparable hotel in town. I was also very pleased that they were able to accommodate an early check in request. I would definitely stay here again.
