Stayed here for the State Gymnastics Championships, it was very crowded as also volleyball tournament in town. We expected a bit of noise, but were pleasantly surprised with a quiet night. Temperature control in the room was very good and rooms have been recently updated with good large screen TV with High Definition picture. Everyone with whom we interacted on the staff was very friendly, courteous, and professional! Bistro was good. Definitely recommend if you are in the area.
I did a night for business purpose in this hotel. - fast and efficient check-in - large room with king size bed - in a quite surrounding, I could sleep very well - the hotel has the standard Courtyard bar/buffet set up to order breakfast
We had checked in on the web and got a response soon thereafter saying our room was ready. That was great,! When we arrived in your lobby it was uneventful! The gentleman that checked us in was very nice and friendly. He shared the wedding reception information with us and made us feel at home. The hotel itself presented itself very nice, clean and neat. Some of our family used the pool without any complaints. The room we had was very nice, comfortable and had a great air conditioner. We had requested feather pillows and they were on the beds waiting for us upon arrival.
The Courtyard (this review) shares a parking lot with the Comfort Suites, and all parking is at the front of the hotels. There is a restaurant in-house (the Bistro) where breakfast and dinner can be purchased a la carte. This arrangement works well for us since we rarely take advantage of included breakfasts. Our room was perfectly acceptable and, really, what would be expected in this type hotel. The hotel is located in a relatively busy area, and there are a lot of dining options available nearby.
Great food at the lobby included. Kathy is sweat lady and great cook. I loved her verde salsa. If you have to travel to work for SF this is the best option. Walking distance to SF campus. Good if you are looking for an extended stay.
Room was cool and comfortable upon arrival - no need to adjust the temperature. Black out curtains along with a very comfortable mattress made for a great night's sleep. Staff that I connected with in advance and throughout the stay was great. Thumbs up - good place to stay while in the area.
I had a one nighter for business and stayed here on a Monday evening. The hotel was quiet which was great for me! The hotel staff was nice, friendly and courteous. I used the gym which is small but had free weights which I like. I also had breakfast there which is made to order rather than buffet which was very good. The room were well appointed and clean. My only suggestion is better lighting above the bathroom sink. The LED lighting is great for saving money but that may have been the lowest lit bathroom I have ever been in.
This place checks the boxes for a solid overnight stay for work, families, etc. Look- you don't stay at a Courtyard expecting opulent luxury and amenities. You stay because they're clean, easy to get in/out, and lets you get work done and a good night's sleep. I've stayed here a few times in the last couple years and it doesn't disappoint. Clean and inviting lobby, standard pool/workout room, and clean rooms. I sleep well here and get lots of work done. Between here and the Marriott in Uptown, Normal is covered for loyal marriott travelers.
Stopped through overnight during our road trip. Good location to pull off the freeway with a Wal-Mart and Panera in walking distance to stretch our legs. Got a double queen room (#100) on the first floor - parking lot side and corner room - and the room has a sliding door to outside. Worked awesome for hauling in luggage and accessing vehicle! Front staff very friendly. John was great at the check-in. I called three times with questions before check-in, and they always picked up ASAP right at the desk (no third party phone call center here!). Beyond an overnight stay, I would not say this is a destination hotel. But it worked great for what we needed. (The pool is small if you have kids.)
Very friendly staff from the General Manager on down. Rooms are neat, clean and comfortable. Price is reasonable. Within walking distance of a Walmart and CVS for things you need and forgot. Many restaurants both the usual fast and fast casual, along with some local places that are very good and different. Easy access from and to I-55. We will be staying there again.
