The staff was extraordinarily friendly, but that was the highlight of our hotel stay. The room was clean on the surface (carpet, sheets, bathroom), but there was visible trash under some of the furniture. Also, there were items left by previous guests in a corner of the room. Finally, we always check the mattress for bedbugs, and it was pretty dirty under the sheets & pad. The breakfast was really good, and the woman running the omelet stand was a superstar. She had 10 omelets going at once, and this made the line go relatively quickly. The staff assigned to cleaning the tables after guests were finished eating was very friendly, and they cleared the tables as soon as someone left. However, they didn't wipe the tables down, at least consistently. Our table had crumbs and a liquid on it. Finally, the drink fountain was absolutely disgusting. I poured some juice for my kids, and there were visible chunks floating around. There was something about the size of a dime floating in the apple juice. I'm not sure if these are cleaned regularly. Unfortunately, we weren't able to use the pool because there were about 40 kids running around and screaming. I walked into the pool room, and it sounded like I was under a jet in full after-burner. It was very loud. This isn't anybody's fault, but it was disappointing not being able to enjoy the pool. Overall, it was a decent stay, but from what we saw and experienced, the hotel really needs a good scrub down.

Having stayed at Embassy Suites before I already knew what to expect. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. The bathroom sink plumbing was clogged up, the phone next to the bed didn't work, some of the lights in the room didn't work due to the bulbs being blown, there was trash on the floor when we checked in and it took room service too long to respond to our calls. The staff was very kind when you spoke with them though and didn't make you feel rushed or unimportant. It's unfortunate that the other aspects of the hotel weren't as good. With a slight facelift this hotel could be more presentable, the rooms could be more appealing and the overall stay would be much better.

We didn't have enough towels or bedding and it took over 2hrs to get more, plus we couldn't find a luggage cart had to carry everything.

Layout of the suite was great. three sinks and a nice separate sitting area. Very clean but showing its age here and there. Some rust on the light fixture in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good, but service was slow. We waited in line for 40 minutes on Saturday morning. More servers/cooks would be helpful. Location was great. Pool looked nice...indoor. Fitness center was OK, but the TV wouldn't come on, and some of the TV's on the machines would not work. Advertised free ear buds at main desk, but they were "out."

My friend and I arrived from an overnight flight from CA at 7am exhausted and ready for a nice room and some rest. We paid for the room for the night before so we could check in with no delay. When we got into our room they must have done some sheet-rock work in the bathroom and there was dust everywhere. It was FILTHY! We also found a screw on the carpet along with some contact lenses. We then had to wait over an hour for another room to be available and that one was clean but needed lots of deferred maintenance. When we came back from Talladega on Sunday night they didn't leave us any clean towels. We had to call down twice to finally get some clean towels.

It is very dirty, the only good thing was breakfast

The hotel was nice....but it vould use a few repairs and upgrades to be an Embassy! In the bathroom could use a heater if needed for use if chilly in order to take your shower....the shower curtains need replacing....phones in room need updating and Wi-Fi should automatically be within use without you needing to use a promo code.

Basic amenities were fine and the hotel staff is great. Only two knocks - 1) Tub surround had light mildew between tiles, not typical of this level of hotel, and 2) the afternoon reception in the garden (a key reason to choose Embassy) was extremely chintzy compared to other Embasy Suites around the country. Some chips and dips and a half dozen well drinks. Only one attendant, who was particularly slow and "slow". 10 - 15 minute wait in line for a coke, if you have the patience.

Loved the hotel! Pool was great and common area for breakfast was lovely! Breakfast was delicious! Room was clean and very spacious!

Superb and helpful staff. Great rooms. Charles helped us with shuttle to downtown and a few suggestions for sights to see. Reception with drinks and snacks in our first evening was wonderful.

What a disappointing experience. I reserved a room here because they had higher than average ratings and thought it would be a safe bet. I was wrong. Here are a few areas that need major work. Pros: 1) They let us check in at 3 instead of 4. 2) Breakfast was free. Cons: 1) The room was super warm. Before we left I had the thermostat set at 58 degrees and it still felt like it was 80. 2) The front door to the room was warped and you could hear everything that was going on outside the room. 3) The shower was leaking so much that it ran all night. 4) There was no light in the shower and of all showers that I have been in it actually needed one. 5) The breakfast service was a joke. We waited in line for about 15 minutes before being served half of what we wanted because the omelet cook and the server were calling each other names. The server was refused to get the rest of our order because her coworker was pretending to be burned so she could file a workers' compensation claim. 6) The bed in the room looked like a crater and the pillow cases didn't even fit the pillows. 7) We needed some Advil and the hotel store did not sell any. The only heath care products they sold were prophylactic wrappers. 8) The parking lot was littered with garbage and vomit. We will not stay here again.

The hotel is conveniently located. The room I was clean and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and accommodating though I did not have any unusual requirements.

My family and I spent the 4th of July weekend at this hotel. Breakfast and happy hour were great, the pool area was small and not adequate for the number of guest. The hotel surroundings is beautiful and rooms were big and clean however the staff was unprofessional and lazy. On a few occasions the gentlemen at the front desk made several unwelcomed comments while I was waiting in the lobby for my husband, "are you going to bring me breakfast?". Luckily my husband arrived just in time to put him in his place. The security guards spend most of their time walking around and socializing versus manning the doors. This could be a great place to stay if the staff were professionally trained. Will not return.

We love staying at embassy suites for the hot breakfast and reasonable prices. However when we checked in they had issues with the key card system. We were only there two nights and didn't receive our room key until late the second day. Service turned around when my car wouldn't start and the friendly staff pushed it backwards and jump started my car with no complaining. That is above and beyond I my book.

Staff was great. Really enjoyed and appreciated free breakfast and managers reception. Wifi was $10 a day and pretty spotty at times. Pool has extended adults only hours. Found that amusing. Good hotel, great views, great staff.

Great place and location friendly staff just wished internet was free

Decent staff, clean room, average food. The front desk was helpful in arranging a taxi cab to the airport.

Overall the experience was good. It is located in a great part of town and the staff was friendly.

Staff was attentive to needs. Great with kids. Ran out of towels, called front desk and more were delivered within minutes.

Enjoyed the friendly staff, spacious room and tasty meals. Some of the decor is a bit dated but overall a very comfortable stay.
