Very comfortable experience for three nights. About the only negative was breakfast on Saturday. They were out of hot food by 9:30am even though they have longer breakfast hours on the weekend.

The room and facilities were ok. It was clean and the staff was attentive. They made an assumption about payment and charged me for a second room I had booked on behalf of someone. I think they could have confirmed with me before charging, but they reversed it once I notified them and were pleasant through the experience. The negatives were that their furniture needs to be updated - the leather on the chairs were cracked and the sofa was getting threadbare. The room itself was fine though. The breakfast spread was also not attractive as the options were slim.

The room smelled of cigarettes and mold. The morning we were checking out we noticed mold growing on the ceiling.

We stayed at this motel two years ago and liked it, so we stayed there again recently. It is very nice, but it has deteriorated a little in the last two years. The bed was comfortable and the furnishings were nice, but the TV remote did not work and the batteries were so corroded it is hard to believe it worked any time soon. The curtain was frayed in an obvious place right over the window AC unit. The toilet worked, but made strange noises as the tank refilled. While the staff was very nice, somebody is just not paying attention to the condition of the room. The lobby and breakfast area were both fine. We stay at Country Inns a lot as we travel and this one is not up to par for the chain.

Comfortable stay. Would definitely stay here again.

I was caught in the Hurricane Irma and had to cancel. They refused to issue me a refund. I had to cancel another reservation at the Hilton Atlanta Airport and they refunded me and said they hoped everything was ok.

Comfortable, no-frills, reasonably priced, friendly staff, convenient location.

Terrible got kicked out for smoking and I didn't even smoke police came and didn't even smell anything

The pictures explain it all. Orbitz 4.2 rating is giving this hotel way to much credit.

This Country Inn was great in all respects except air conditioning for the room. The ac unit seemed to be working and the room was fine during the day, but it was on the top floor and it was a hot day, so getting the temp down for sleeping at night was not working well. We were too tired from driving to want to change rooms, so we put up with it.

Please read this before you consider booking your hotel room at the Country Inn & Suites in Birmingham, Alabama (485 Wildwood NorthCircle, Homewood, AL 35209). My family is from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, a city that has recently been devastated by historical flooding. I had scheduled a trip to Birmingham and had booked my room for the nights of August 13th & 14th at the Country Inn & Suites. On Saturday, August 13th we set out for Birmingham Alabama and were unfortunately stranded on Interstate 12 for over 30 hours, eventually having to abandon our cars to be rescued by high water vehicles and taken to a Shelter in Hammond, Louisiana. I should also add that cell phone service was virtually non-existent. Finally on Tuesday August 16th the interstates reopened and we were able to retrieve our vehicles and continue our trip to Birmingham. Once we arrived in Birmingham I visited the Country Inn & Suites convinced that they would show some compassion because of our horrific ordeal that was completely out of our control. Boy was I mistaken. Before I could even finish asking if they could either offer us a refund or provide us lodging for one night, the manager interrupted me and told me that the general manager had met with her to discuss this issue. He had told her that there would be absolutely no concessions for those who had suffered from the flooding in Louisiana. I asked her if she could reach out to the general manager again for me and she told me that I wasn’t their only cu

Clean property, clean rooms. Staff is ok, don't have any willingness to help. Laundry machines and vending machine items are super pricey, that way they squeeze another set of pennies from fellow travelers. Not that worth for the money you pay, breakfast is fair enough with super skinny bacon and mini donuts sized bagels.

Rented this hotel for 2 nights while traveling with my elderly parents for a medical procedure. The hotel staff allowed us to check in very early - 10am. Suite was very clean, spacious, and well appointed. A few stains on carpet and ripped sofa cushions, but beds were VERY comfortable. Walls were thin, and we were next door to a family with small children. Nice location for what we needed. Overall an excellent experience.

Shower leaked. But all around good room. A felt it could have been a little better priced and breakfast should of gone to at least 10am

VERY CLEAN.EVERYTHING WAS VERY NICE. ENJOYED OUR STAY VERY MUCH! RECOMMEND HIGHLY!!

The hotel was very clean....beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was horrible but the stay was very pleasant!

Hallway to elevator was excessive smoke smell. We could hardly breath. We had to walk through the smoke hallway each time we left our room. The breakfast was the worst ever. NO milk ask none available, hard bread, hard bagel. No orange juice I ask to refill. had to wait about 10 minutes while staff completed they conversation. staff was rude about waffle sticking.. It was a bad experience and I it gave me a bad taste for all Country Inn & Suites.

The hotel is VERY new, very clean and the staff was very courteous. My only complaint was that their WIFI was not secure and ran incredibly slow. I tried on three of their servers and wasn't able to get my email to download in less than an hour. That being said if your looking for a inexpensive motel in the Homewood/South Side area you could do alot worse.

Very unproessional. Wifi is iffy at best. No one answers the phone or attends the front desk. There were days my room was not turned down.

Thank you for taking time to write the review. We are glad that you enjoyed your stay with us except for breakfast hours. You should have let the front desk know at that time because sometimes we might be refiling the food and it takes little longer to prepare. But we do keep in our mind that from next time we will try to prepare before so it doesn't take long time.
