The lady that checked us in was friendly. The room was clean and simple. The price was reasonable. No coffee pot in the room. But I travel with mine anyway. The bed was comfortable. Got a good night sleep.
No frills, nice people at the front desk. They seem to care about people and try to help. Great price, great location, and Waffle House is across the parking lot! This is about a block from I-10 and a Cici's and many other inexpensive restaurants are nearby.
Car broke down in Baton Rouge and all hotels were double priced because of football game . Stayed at motel 6 to avoid 300 at holiday inn . There was Lots of activity in parking lot all night long . And woke up in middle of night to find roaches all over the room . I pulled bed away from the wall and moved the infested night stand to the door . I had no where else to go so I had to stay in room. My ride wasn't going to be able to get to me in time for checkout - I asked if I could stay an extra hour and was told no . I could buy another night . I had to wait in parking lot until my ride from Oklahoma was able to pick me up. I will pay the 300 next time . Hotels should have special accommodations for stranded guest .
Motel 6 continues to exceed my expectations. Room super clean with a complete remodel. Beds comfortable. Reasonably priced. Extremely helpful staff. Only issue was the charge for wifi. Bigger issue was wifi did not connect in my room & I was only 6 doors down from office. Ended up having to go to office and use my phone from there.
We had planned to stay in Natchitoches on the way to New Orleans, but the flooding made that impossible. We pressed on to Baton Rouge, and I remembered staying at this Motel 6 back in 1999 when we had to come for a funeral. The room had been updated, Waffle House was next door, everything was clean and the staff was friendly. Hey, it's Motel 6, but I got exactly what I was expecting! Would do again.
My husband and I checked in and paid for a week while our car was in the shop thinking it would be a perfect time to catch up on paperwork for our business....we specifically asked for a room with good internet. Once we got to our room, we found out the internet was down in the whole hotel. After the 3rd day of the manager Ludi Johnson telling us the internet wasn't her problem because they don't guarantee it and we were the only ones that wanted it, I called corporate to see if they could resolve the issue. in short corporate was called 4 times about the issue and Ms. Johnson asked us to leave because I was "a threat" to her job she said. Well guess what...the lack of internet was a threat to MY job! Also even though they claim to be pet friendly, the Ludi Johnson woke us very early our first day asking that our cat be kept in a cage at ALL times because he had been in the window and that was strictly forbidden. They do not care here & they are very unprofessional. DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
When we arrived, the receptionist asked us if we wanted a non smoking room and we said yes. When we came in that room, the smell of cold smoke was awful. I had to insist with the receptionist to have another room and we finally did. We stayed for 2 nights and the room has never been cleaned. Bins has never been empty. While walking in the room with no shoes or socks on, our feet were black. Cleaning has never been done. Will never go back there.
New floors, but damaged in many places or worn out. Tub and shower curtain in need of attention. Mattress had humps and valleys. This room appears to have been renovated, but needs to be looked at again. 110
after travelling over 26hrs, from england to baton rouge tired would be understatement. Unfortunately on arrival at the hotel i was faced with a woman appearing aggitated by a man and his requests for his room, received a glance and told no rooms available, bear in mind id booked online so knew i had reservation. Before i could reply another man walks in demands refund due to room being dirty and unmaid therefore staying elsewhere. After being left waiting again she insisted no rooms or reservations has she seen, till i showed her and it magically appeared on her screen! On entering room i found it was basic at best, flooring dirty, bath contained hairs and no coffee in room as advertised. Room phone didnt dial out and wifi does not exist! They make out they doing you a favour by allowing you to have codes to log on for free but id not expect for something that does not work. staff not fussed, and not once did a maid enter my room when out to make up room during my 6 day stay, wont be staying again.
First of all, the desk clerk and maintenance man were awesome. We stayed on new years 2015. Seems the house keepers only do a half of a job, the room still had dirty clothes in it. The few things they do offer sucked couldn't find a remote that worked. All but two outlets didn't work. My family uses motel six every time we stay somewhere and out of the dozens of ones we have stayed at, this was the worse other than the staff. I will not be staying at this one anytime soon.
