The commitment to service was great from check in to check out. My hand was hurt and I was having trouble with my bags. I was really impressed when I was checking out the manager helped me load my luggage.
The hotel is at a great location and building is recently remodeled. Plenty of restaurants and other things to do within walking distance and easy to get on freeway. The staff was very friendly and eager to help.
After 2-night stay, found location useful in the middle of downtown. Room pretty comfortable if fairly minimalist and soundproofing above average. But the staff needs better training. Required valet parking (there is no offered self parking) expensive ($27.99/night incl tax) and you must call at least 10-15 minutes ahead to retrieve. Breakfast served in lobby “Bistro” area way overpriced and staff member taking order heard “eggs over hard, yolks broken” and they came out “sunny side up.” (Go to the attached Starbucks instead, warm breakfast sandwiches at half the price of a Bistro egg and bacon breakfast. Or walk a block to Watermark hotel for a memorably good breakfast or dinner at its attractive restaurant, The Gregory.) Housekeepers after first night removed from the room all coffee cups and all glasses except one. When front desk alerted, they brought plastic cups, no coffee cups. So jury-rigged the one glass for angled use in the room coffeemaker since plastic cups would melt from the hot coffee. By the way, this was my second time recently to use what must be the new “Marriott Issue” room coffee maker. If a Keurig coffee maker rates a 9 or 10 this no-name model rates a 2 or 3. Needlessly cheap. With some better staff training this hotel may improve and I hope so. But for now, stay mainly for the location.
I really enjoyed visiting the Courtyard. It’s a great location where you can walk to pretty much anywhere downtown. The rooms are nice and clean with great views of downtown and the river. I highly recommend this hotel.
Stayed here recently for the Third Street Songwriters Festival. This hotel is right on Third Street so very convenient. Super easy check in. Staff was always very pleasant and helpful-particularly Ashley. Our room on the 8th floor had a nice balcony where we could sit and view the Missisippi River. Beds were very comfortable. This has to be a relatively new hotel. Recommend.
A beautiful hotel with friendly, helpful staff from Antoinette and the valets to Ashli and the front desk staffers! The room had a cozy modern feel, a comfortable bed and Netflix among the multimedia capabilities — all perfect ingredients to a fun weekend away with my husband. In addition, the hotel is within walking distance to various sights and sounds of Baton Rouge, such as the Mississippi River, Louisiana Art & Science Museum, Raising Cane's River Center Arena, historical Poor Boy Lloyd's and modern Cecelia Creole Bistro. My husband and I look forward to visit this hotel and city again.
Stayed here for one night to attend a Mardi Gras Ball at the River Center. Called ahead that morning and they were able to check us in early. During this time they have two parades going at different times during the day so you have to make sure you can get to the hotel because they close roads for the parade routes. Check in was fast and friendly. We booked a two queen room for the night. The room was very clean and spacious. Loved the fact that we could walk to the River Center within 10-15 minutes. Restaurants and bars are all around the hotel. If we ever go to another Ball this will definitely be where we book again. Very nice hotel!
Great hotel!!!! This property is pretty new, very clean and in a great location. Staff was very friendly. The sales director ( Allison ) was very very helpful and made dealing with her a wonderful experience. We will diffently stay again.
stayed here using points for 2 nights. It's right in the middle of downtown Baton Rouge. We were able to take a nice long walk around and look at all the historic areas and the Mississippi River. Baton Rouge is a nice place! The hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a King with Balcony. I would definitely stay here again. Staff was very courteous.
Shout out to the entire Staff upon check all the way through to check out. The woman at Front Desk went above and beyond with customer service!
