Nice hotel close to the Gothic Quarter. The hotel was walking distance to the beach, about 20 minute walk and they supply towels. Staff was overall friendly and welcoming upon checking in.

We have a very comfortable two-night stay in this well-kept, well-managed property. It is on the border between the Gothic Quarter and the Born, meaning that you are within walking distance of the train station, as well as many other things you probably want to see: the Picasso Museum, the Gothic Cathedral, the Santa Caterina market, and the Palau Musica, to name a few. The Aquarium and Barcelonetta are a brisk 20 minute walk away. The hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful, and both the lobby and the guest rooms are comfortable and stylish. Although our room was small, it was well provisioned and freshly decorated with white woodwork and filmy white curtains -- backed by double-paned windows to keep out the bustle of the Via Laietana just outside. The bathroom was large by European standards and sparkling. My only complaint is that, like many European hotel rooms, ours had a slot inside the door for you to insert your room card -- without which the lights and A/C do not work. That means that when you leave, the room heats up (in hot weather) -- unless you requisition an extra key card to leave behind while you are out. We did not try the breakfast (food options in the neighborhood are abundant) and so cannot comment on the food. The rooftop bar is small and a bit awkward, but pleasant in good weather, with a nice rooftop view and a selection of artesanal cocktails.

We stayed here for a week. The location was fantastic. Everything was within walking distance. LA Bouqeria, one of my favorites, was right around the corner. The staff was helpful and the rooms were clean. We really enjoyed our stay. Great place.

The staff at this hotel was so incredibly wonderful, helped us find our way around very quickly. We did both the hop-on-hop-off tour (stop is just a block up) and also a day trip to Andorra (left from a few blocks up). You can easily get around from this location, and a WONDERFUL view from the rooftop while you sit in the hot tub. Overall, we had a great time.

Everything was accessible within a short walking distance - this hotel is in the perfect location. The WiFi isn't as strong in some of the the rooms, but other than that, it was perfect.

Booked room for $200/night and it was barely larger than the double bed.

We wanted to stay in the Gothic Quarter, this hotel was close. We were able to walk to La Rambla and even to the beach.

Hope youre not looking for customer service as you wont get it at this place. They make it known they dont care about you. Also we lost air conditioning the last 3 nights. There is no corporate number and twitter told us to ask the front desk for a new room. Its chasing rainbows trying to get help. GREAT location, but for the price? I wouldve rather stayed in a hostile for as little as I got.

The hotel and the rooms are very clean, the staff is excellent. The location is tops, most places of interest are within easy walking distance. The only setback are the rooms, very small. All in all, a very positive experiance.

My wife and I recently spent five days in Barcelona. We were quite pleased with our choice of hotel. The hotel is conveniently located in the Gothic section, and is within easy walking distance of many attractions, and near restaurants, shops, ice cream, and pastry shops. Easy access to bus lines, taxi's, and hop on hop off tour bus within one block. The hotel is in excellent repair, and well maintained. Housekeeping and Front Desk Services were outstanding One of the nicest boutique hotels we have stayed at. There is an open air roof top lounge and observation area which features bar and sandwich service in the early evening. The view from the roof top is outstanding, and offers excellent views of the historic city, and sunsets with a 270 degree view. There are several quaint streets with shops, and restaurants located nearby that we walked every evening - a most enjoyable experience. We have absolutely no complaints, and will make the H10 Montcada Boutique Hotel our first choice should we ever return to Barcelona.

The hotel is located in the center of everything we wanted to do. Staff was very friendly. The rooftop bar and hot tub were great. You can hear a bit in the hall through the door, but no street noise.

This hotel was in a great location for exploring the city and very easy access to the train station to get to the airport. The room was very clean and modern. Would stay again!

I had a terrific stay at the H10 Montcada. Being just across from the old city and Barri Gotic, the location could not be better. Port Vell, Barceloneta, Las Ramblas and Placa Catalunya are all a short walk away. As a travel photographer, I was very fortunate to have a room right on Via Laietana, I got some great images of the street and the old cathedral. If you're a light sleeper, be sure to ask for a room off of the street though. The church bells ring on the hour day and night.

Very nice, clean, near everything Good value, we enjoy and recommend it.

We are 60-ish years old. This hotel is located in the oldest district, so we were close to all things we considered significant. Great breakfast option! Especially if you don't wish to begin each day with a pastry. The buffet includes American scrambled eggs, poached eggs, bacon, beans for the Brits, little sausages, mushrooms, another sections with cheeses and Iberian ham and salami, breads, 6 different juices, fresh fruit, pastries that are fit for a wedding reception, cereal, yoghurt...plenty to eat to start your day of touring. We have found that this suits us...protein rather than sweets, and in the end cheaper! The desk people are young and so helpful. The little bar is welcoming and, we enjoyed nightcaps here. Although we didn't jump in the jacuzzi, we loved the Barcelona sun on the roof deck. Stay here as your home base: you will like it. Rooms are small by American standards, but you really have all you need...clean, too. xox

This hotel was extremely good. The location was ideal, the staff were excellent. The breakfasts were full of variety and a great start to the day. The rooftop terrace was especially good as the views from there are wonderful. Our room was pretty good, if small. The only criticism I would have is that the pillows were not comfortable at all. We would use this hotel again and recommend it to others.

In Barcelona's gothic distric, this nice little hotel is a great value. The rooms seem recently remodeled, the bathroom is nicely sized (for Europe), and the staff is friendly and helpful. Best feature is the rooftop bar with spectacular views of the city at night.

This hotel is in one of the best locations possible for exploring Barcelona. Most areas can be reached on foot and the subway station is close by making access to the rest of Barcelona easy and quick. The staff were wonderful. They could not have been more helpful or attentive. Our room however was very small. Too small to even contain a chair to sit in. Also the beds were very mobile. We tried to sit in bed to watch TV but leaning against the headboard caused the bed to move across the floor. The rooftop bar provides excellent city skyline views and the area is full of reasonably priced places to eat and drink. All in all good value for the money but not five star by any means.

The place is not perfect but its a great deal. The main draw about it is the location. It located in the perfect place if you are planning on walking around the city center and its only about 1-2 km from the beach. And if you dont plan on walking the metro is right in front of the building. The roof top deck is very nice especially during the sunset; great view of barcelona from the roof. Pros: Location, nice room, clean, nice bathroom, helpful staff Cons: Room was a bit small, since its directly above the metro you can hear the trains going by

Received a glass of cava upon arrival. joined the H10 club on the spot and received two free drinks and a complimentary upgrade to a nice junior suite in a quiet room with a beautiful view of the city. rooftop area is gorgeous. couldn't have been much better really, outstanding value. i recommend H10 for a great spot proximate to born and gothic districts.
