My first impression was an ok one but we did have a few problems with our room and losing electricity which myself and friend were the ones to figure out how to get back on. They had sent the chef to try and help with the situation but he did everything we had already done. HOwever the location of the hotel was very ideal. About 5 mins away from the train stations and amazing local sights.
My daughter and I had a wonderful time in Barcelona staying at the Ilunion Bel Art. The room was very clean, bright and comfortable, the bathroom sparkling with a great shower, well lit with full or ambient lighting, very effective air conditioning. Our room was very quiet and relaxing after days spent in crowds around the city. The receptionist was absolutely marvellous at his job - informative, knowledgeable, and when he had a little time, kindly engaged in conversation with my daughter about Cuba and different dialects. He also secured our return home by booking a taxi for 3.30am for which I was very grateful! It was easy enough to walk to msny interesting places. What a wonderful, helpful, chilled place - we both agreed that we'd return to this hotel specifically next time. Thank you Iliuon Bel Art
I visited Barcelona maybe 7 times every year and this time I decided to stay in this hotel. Was the worst days in a hotel first only one person in reception and it's not his fault but we where 5 people before me, it took almost 45 minute to check in, them I get to the room with my wife and they gave me a bed for one person I ask and they tell me this is normal, I travel 250 days a years that's not true. Second the bathrooms was not clean they where hair in the sink I tell reception and they tell me he is all along and the housekeeping will be the next date!! Is very uncomfortable to stay in a hotel like this two people don't fee in that bed and the housekeeping after this day she didn't put towels the second day and we tell her and she was mad. Very very hotel
Hotel - The hotel interior is very beautiful. The rooms were clean and spacious. We received fresh water and tea every morning. However on our 3rd night we saw ants in our room. We were directed to another room immediately no questions asked. Staff - We were looked after by many staff members who were very helpful and polite. Especially Sergio, he went above and beyond for us. Thank you so much Sergio, Adios. Breakfast - The breakfast I would rate 3.5 stars. There wasn't much variety however the staff were helpful and accommodating when asked to bring out more food. Overall; Ilunion Bel Art was a lovely hotel. Very close to the Alfons station and La Sagrada Familia.
I really loved this hotel. The rooms were small but really fresh and modern as were the bathrooms. Lovely big windows in the rooms. Overall quiet and charming. Service was great too. I would not hesitate to stay here again.
Its a nice hotel, its a bit of a trip out of the busy parts of Barcelona but this isnt a problem for our young legs. Reception are helpful, rooms are clean and comfy. Didn't eat in the hotel but its looked nice.
Pros - 10 min from La Sagrada Familia - 10 min from a lot of restaurants, Cafes and Metro station - Bus station V21 is just across street for going to city centre - Two playgrounds near by - Friendly staff Cons - Rooms are not sound proof ( many times I thought somebody is opening room door) - There is no desk with chair inside the room !!
Around a 5-7 minute walk from the Alfons X metro station so it is quite conveniently located. The actual area it is in isn't very 'happening' and make sure you convert currency before getting there as there is no currency exchange service nearby. The room was clean however there was an unpleasant odour lingering in the bathroom which was probably linked to the drainage system. Customer service/front desk was decent however ringing room service was a nightmare, didn't ever manage to get through/communicate what was needed. We had booked a triple room so expected 3 single beds (as advertised) but upon arrival there was a double bed and a sofa bed which we just made do with. Overall it was ok for the price but nothing special.
I must say that the location is great! Close to the basilica and metro! When we originally booked, we booked for 4 nights but due to a specialist appointment we had to change our Europe dates and shorten our trip to one night. We had to pay for 4 nights regardless and couldn't be refunded. Upon arrival, I asked if we could be refunded but the girl explained we couldn't because of the terms. I asked if we can get complimentary breakfast since we paid for that room for one extra night which they could rent out and make additional money on it. They didn't really want to allow out and had to speak to management about it. In the end, they gave us complimentary breakfast which we were happy about. However, the breakfast was nothing special at all (we only had it one morning) but I would seriously regret paying for it. We just came from Majorca where they made omlets for you and this was just a continental breakfast with not much to choose from. Otherwise, good location and nice room!
I and two friends stayed in this hotel recently and found it to be excellent value. It is very clean, comfortable and the front desk service was excellent. Sergio at the front desk was particularly helpful. The location is great, about 5 blocks from the Sagrada Familia and the hop on, hop off bus stop. Tons of restaurants nearby at all price levels. We felt very safe in the area. It is in a quiet neighbourhood so we had no problem with noise. The room was smallish as Europen hotel rooms often are but the bathroom was a good size and had been recently modernized. A kettle with coffee and tea is available in the room which I like. It was a very comfortable stay for three women and I highly recommend it.
