I picked this hotel because our fellow cruisers and Hilton honor’s friends were staying here. We arrived mid-morning and while the specific room we’d requested wasn’t ready we were offered a room that was ready which we took. Our room was larger than I expected for a European room. It was clean, modern and welcoming after a long night of traveling. The hotel was centrally located for our needs. The front desk and bar staff were friendly, helpful and polite. A special shout out to Alex who was very helpful with an article that was left behind.
The personal is very friendly and the hotel meets average expectations. Foot and Beverage, Service and rooms are ok. The weak points are the missing Pool-and Sauna-Facilities and a lousy Fitnesscenter. For over 200 Euro per night you receive much more in many Hotels.
One of the nicer Hilton’s we have ever stayed. Very good location, excellent service. The concierge people did a great job explaining the city’s tourist attractions and the hop on hop off bus service. The last night we had very good steak dinner in the hotel restaurant.
Not having stayed in Barcelona before we have to assume this is a stereotypical European hotel. Very small room and bathroom. Kind of a sterile feel. No charm. Staff was friendly enough. Seems to be in the middle of a business district. Would we go back? Probably not.
We booked this hotel because it was close to shopping and near the Hop On Hop Off bus stop. As a Hilton Gold I was hoping to get upgraded to the executive level but the front desk person just rolled their eyes and assigned a regular room. These rooms are smallish but stylish but unfortunately the bed was very hard and unconformable. The saving grace for this hotel is the Great Breakfast Buffet that is free for Hilton Golds.
I had a very lovely stay at Hilton Barcelona. Breakfast was extremely busy but staff was working very hard to make sure we all received a great service. One thing I really liked was a healthy food corner. A special thanks goes to Monica at reception; even though the desk was busy, she approached me and other guests with a smile and positive attitude.
We truly enjoyed our stay at the Hilton. It wasn’t the touristy place I expected but mostly professionals doing business in town. Best breakfast selection for hot and cold meals. Amazing coffee machines to make it the way we wanted. The pastry selection was incredible. The staff went out of their way to make us comfortable! They added another mattress for our king bed because my husbands back was was hurting. The housekeeping was meticulous. The evening social hour on the 4th floor executive lounge was lively and busy with people from all over the world. We used the laundry service and the clothes came back perfect. The shopping malls all around the area was within several blocks. It was an easy walk to the downtown area where everything was happening. Ask the concierge about touring and they were great about getting the bus tours for us. Loved this place and will definitely come back to stay.
Great staff and clean rooms. Internet service is extra! There are some great dining establishments nearby. The metro is only a few blocks from the hotel. The staff is very friendly and most speak English.
As I sit in the lobby waiting to check into my room, I watch the front desk let some people have their rooms early and others just sit. Upon checkin I’m told there is no early checkin as the hotel was fully booked, yet the hilton.com showed many rooms available at 10pm the day before. So false! I’m a diamond and was not recognized as one, nor given access to the executive lounge or an upgrade until I mentioned the diamond status. The woman at the desk told us we could return at 2pm! We are exhausted and decided to wait in the lobby. I watched as many people were given their rooms, if not and if they had executive lounge access, they were given early access. Not myself and a friend. Should it not all be the same??? Now I know not to recommend or stay at this Hilton in the future. Of course they will write some sort of condescending remark about how they have done their best, when in fact they have not!! We remained polite the whole time and look froward to checking and then checking out!
I stayed only one night in that hotel, but from what I’ve seen, I can tell it’s a good hotel. Bedrooms are okay, not too small, and more importantly, they are really clean. Beds are comfy, bathrooms awesome... Really good stay, I recommend !
