Ver y nice stay, very good breakfast, plenty of choise, close to metro and train station, near a big shopping mall, great hotel service and nice rooms, poll on a roof, but unfortunetly with a cold water

I stayed with my family in this hotel last November. I recommend it if you travel with kids. The breakfast is very rich and the hotel staff is always available to assist for any needs. The location of the hotel is also good. In that Barcelona district I suggest to spend time in the nearby flea market Encants Glories. The only point I did not like concerns the swimming pool on the roof top. From the pictures in the hotel website and also in the reservation details it seems that it is an indoor swimming pool. It is actually an outdoor swimming pool and moreover in winter months is out of service. So we thought to stay in an hotel with indoor swimming pool, while once there we realized that we cannot enjoy it.

There's every piece of positivity that I have for Novotel Barcelona City. Starting with the location (near the metro station and in a good locality), to the staff (very friendly and knowledgeable) to the comfort (good sized room, comfortable bed and awesome breakfast!). On top of all this, the pricing is very decent and won't burn a hole in your pocket. Our flight arrived early morning and we were in the hotel much before the check in time. Despite this, the staff arranged for us to have a shower in the spa/gym bathroom and safely stored our luggage. This hotel keeps the flag of Accor/Novotel brand flying high up. I will most definitely stay again in this hotel when I visit Barca next.

I picked the hotel to spend few days awaiting flight due good airport connection (5 min to subway), shopping center nearby and walking distance to city center and to the parks. Breakfast was fine, kids playgorund perfectly located next to restaurant. Frendly stuff. Cool hamam on the roof near pool with bar.

I've stayed a number of times in Barcelona, this had the best views. Needs travel to get into the city, or find great places to eat - but taxis or trams are nearby. I had an exec room. Spacious, well equipped, very quiet. Would stay here again

My second stay at the hotel. This time I was upgraded to a room with a view. Situated on higher floors, these rooms offer excellent views over the city. Of course, you can always visit the rooftop bar for even better views. Definitely, my favorite hotel in Barcelona.

Where do you start with this hotel. We were lucky enough to spend eight wonderful days here. Great location. We walked into the cbd and the beach on a number of occasions. Caught the metro a number of times from here and the hop-on/hop-off stop is just across the road. Rooms are spacious and modern. The roof top is very much worth a look and for a nice relaxing drink - or two.The only downside to our stay was that my mobile phone disappeared into someone else's pocket. The Novotel staff were very helpful and understanding with this as well. Highly recommended.

Excellent hotel with all facilities, a wonderfull roof terrace, good restaurant and an incredible view on the Sagrada familia if you are on the upper floors. Breakfast was complete and they have a parking.

We enjoyed our stay at the Novotel in Barcelona; located in the district that is close by the famous Anoni Gaudi Sagrada Familia church; the ongoing construction of which should see finalisation by 2026! As Accor Plus members we were fortunate to be upgraded to a small corner suite on the 12th floor that was modern and well appointed with lovely views. Every aspect of our stay was comfortably managed by the staff who were very enthusiastic and helpful. The bar at front office level was closed, so we ventured to the 16th floor for a welcome drink. What a great location - sweeping views across the city with gas fired heaters on the terrace top, as well as a great little bar with really first class staff who looked after us really well. We decided to have a quiet dinner up in the corner of the bar overlooking the amazing architecture near by - including the soaring Torre Glories tower that was later lit up with colourful lights, the Museum del Disseny & the amazing triangular mirrored roof of the Barcelona Flea market. We enjoyed the "family barbecue" style dinner for two; what a great location with fantastic staff. The buffet breakfast was a great Novotel experience, a good spread of hot dishes with some local treats like chorizo sausage and "Spanish" omelette which included garlic potato. My only disappointment as the lack of barista made coffee; replaced instead with an "instant" coffee machine that was as poor as they all seem to be across the Accor hotels that we have stayed at. The staff at the Novotel Barcelona City were great and looked after us very well; we would return here next time we visit this amazing city.

This is a nice modern hotel, only 4 stops from central Barcelona and walking distance to the beach. We hadn't counted on school holidays when booking and the hotel was like creche. The worst thing was breakfast with kids all over the buffet, playing with the coffee machines...having a great time but with adults standing behind waiting to get a cup of coffee. As usual, parents seemed to be totally oblivious to what their offspring were doing and not one person, parents or staff would exercise any sort of control. Breakfast was chaotic and noisy and there was mess everywhere. On saying that, the buffet, when you could get to it before a horde of children, was really quite good. I know this is a difficult issue for hotels to manage but, is it possible at all to think about reserving a separate for kids as it is a nightmare for anyone wanting to have a civilised breakfast or on business and in a hurry to get out the door. If I wanted to stay in a kids' hotel I would have booked into some sort of themed hotel. Otherwise, the rooms were nice though impossible to get a bucket of ice delivered and we had to go upstairs to the rooftop bar as no one would deliver it to the room with other room service. Would probably stay again but will check the school holiday dates next time!
