Spruce Grove Inn

The Inn has a nice feel to it- a combination of rustic and industrial log cabin, everything is neat and new and overall it certainly has a lot more atmosphere than your standard lodge/hotel. The room was very nicely done, with a lovely balcony. I spent 4 nights here and a night at the nearby Irwins Inn and thought the spruce grove was definitely MUCH better, at the same price. Breakfast - the pro is it is included in the price and simple decent fare - the con - it is a little TOO basic, can certainly be made better. Runny oatmeal (no nuts or anything else to add to it other than milk), out of the box fruit juices and coffee/tea, yogurt, some bread and muffins. Fried potatoes were often cold. There was some sausage and boiled eggs. OK if you want to grab a quick bite before a hike, but not much more. Also plastic cutlery and plates ??? Really not ok for a lodge that claims to 'love nature' and be environmentally friendly. Customer service was great, all the staff really friendly and helpful. Parking is underground, secure and adequate.

Lobby and breakfast area with modern, natureinspired deco and furniture. Rooms modern and with a fresh smell of wood. A balcony with a view to spruce trees. Breakfast is OK. Pool is outdoor in the neighboor hotel. Parking underground on the property.

Great hotel. Stayed 2 nights, rooms are very clean and just renovated. Easy access to the underground parking, friendly staff and a very good breakfast. No problems at all. The new go-to hotel in Banff.

Price gouging in Banff is nothing new, but when you pay an amount for a room that would get you a 4-5 star experience in a major city, some standard of quality should be expected. While this hotel offered parking, free wifi and complementary breakfast, which other locations in Banff often do not, it was relatively far from the town center, the TV in the room did not work properly, and the breakfast was mediocre. We had a delightful view of the parking garage of the next hotel from our room. The swimming pool was a long distance away through a labyrinth of hallways which in fact led to another hotel with which the Spruce Grove seemingly shares the pool. The hot-tub and pool were not appealing. Overall we paid a lot of money and it felt like we were staying at a dingy motel. The rooms however were clean.

My stay here is great, they have a clean room, lots of storage for clothes. They offer free breakfast. Breakfast is ok.. 😊 the room where we stayed has a balcony and it offer a great view of the mountain. But one thing i dont like here is that they didn't even give us a heads up that there's a repair on the rooms next to us. We just woke up these people are in our balcony with some ladder 😩

Stayed 2 nights here and was pleased to find a resently renovated room with comfortable beds and everything we needed. The staff were helpful and friendly and the breakfast was also very nice. Only slight grizzle , the hot water could be a little warmer. I had to have it all the way to hot and I still found it a little cool.

I visit many middle class hotels in Western Canada. Very often I just feel 'a user', rarely I feel 'a guest'. Spruce Grove Inn however gave me that feeling right from the entrance. Personal, professional and friendly. Interior design is very refreshing and comfort is at a high standard. I love to come back here

After reading a recent review that recommended this hotel, we decided to stay here. The hotel was perfect. Everything was brand new and very clean. The rooms were large with a nice kitchenette. The old pictures of the hotel do not did not do it justice as it was so much nicer then it appeared. It was in convenient location with parking underground. The breakfast was nice too.

This is the one of the best Hotel I ever stayed in this category.Looks like it was recently renovated (if not then it's even better).I would compare with Holidayinn express.Who ever had renovated this place I will give him 10 out of 10.Floor selection ,fixtures Room decoration to lobby,Breakfast area they got everything was very clean and Bed was comfortable ,bathroom was very nice I love the fact that in this Hotel you don't feel the same like any frachise Hotel but iit looks one step better by putting their own touch on selecting antiqe looking but modern light fixtures.Breakfast area was also very unique furniture (except sofa,I think sofa was not the right choice).Breakfast choices were very nice.Better then Holiday inn Express. They had fresh Fruit cups and yogurt cups that looked like they filled them self(not the one you get like yoplay or from any supermarket).Free wifi was working very good.Location also very good it's about 10 mins to downtown.I was on a tour so I don't know how much they pay but if I go back to Banff I will definately stay at this Hotel. All the staff member you get big thums up for keeping this Hotel very nice.only thing I did not like is that it's very close to next door Hotel.I can see everything going on in the next door Hotel and may be they will be ablr to see in my room.

I have nothing but praise for The Spruce Grove Inn. My husband and I stayed her for 3 nights on our way to Toronto. Everything about this place is awesome . Good continental breakfast. Great WIFI. Rooms large, microwave, big bar fridge good aircon. Beds comfortable. Staff can't do enough. Hot tub downstairs, restaurant next door with liquor store. Laundromat in basement. Fanbloodytastic!
