We had such an amazing time at Hidden Ridge Resort! The staff were extremely friendly and attentive. They assisted us with taking transit downtown, and provided board games to play post a night out in front of the fire :). The rooms were large and kitchens well stocked. We loved being able to bring and cook our own meals. Plus the deer outside our patio doors every morning was an amazing perk! The only down side is that I left my bathing suit in the bathroom and it doesn't seem to be found. :(
We originally booked into a one bedroom unit that was downstairs, kind of a basement unit. It seemed like an okay place but immediately I knew the sound of the people walking above would be a problem. We paid to upgrade to a luxury king unit with balcony and private jacuzzi. They have four of these located above the lobby. It was a very nice accommodation and no noise issue even though fairly close to pool. The staff was very nice. Location is a bit out of the way and grounds could be noisy with all the families there but we had a car and spent most of our time away. It was nice to have a full kitchen. Yes, I would recommend this property.
Overall it is a good enough lodging. Staff are great and helpful. But they really can't control how guests behalf themselves. Outside Packing is a little crowded but enough for each condo. Some guests are just determined to occupy two parking spaces. There are underground parking. Enough for every guest.
It was really good stay for 4 days in Banff. I recommend this place for family trip with kids.
They assing ground floor condo, whereas I expected 2nd or 3rd floor condo. They should be very clear as to what room will be assigned for a particular price.
I have pleasant stay. However i left my ipad's charger and cable at the resort.
Overall, I have a good impression with the resort. I stayed in one bed room apartment with loft 204 for 2 nights August 17-August 18. The lower toilet is always clogging in the washroom of main floor. I report the problem to front desk. It was fixed, but next time when we used the toilet, it clogged again. In the August 19, when we check out, we also found a piece of glass from broken bottle in the queen bed in the loft. I also forgot my pad’s cable and charger at the resort.
Pros: Quite location with fantastic outside view. Very helpful staff. Hot pool is good to relax the legs after hiking. Outdoor gas grill perfect for the Canadian steak. Cons: Very slow WIFI. Dark room if down stairs but who stays in room?
We stayed in a 2 bedroom / 4 queen bed condo. Unit was very nice and clean, grounds are immaculate, and front desk staff accommodated every request. Great stay.
I and my family stayed 2 nights in 2 bedroom with a loft suite. It was great. Clean room with nice view. Kind staffs and good location. I will stay here again for next trip. :)
It had all things I needed for the family vacation. (hot spa, firewood, full kitchenette, free bus tickets - even though I didn't use).
Great experience on everything! There are bike trails and campers at the back of property; the mountain views are awesome. Staffs are very helpful. The whole trip is very comfy and blissful.
Resort was good overall, with the execption of the beds which were awful. We had a loft suite with 3 queen beds total, and all of them had huge divots in them where you sleep and needed to be replaced. It was nearly impossible to get a good night's sleep on these horrible beds. Otherwise, the location wasn't bad, right outside of Banff. We had a car, so the short drive wasn't bothersome at all. Free bus passes are also provided, but the bus only stops every 40 mins so it wasn't all that convenient considering we could be downtown in 5 mins by car. The wood burning fireplace was a nice touch, and wood was free, which was a surprising touch. The outdoor hot tub was great, with an amazing view, but could get pretty busy at times. Staff was friendly and courteous during our 4 day stay. If not for the beds, this would have easily rated 4 stars.
Nice hotel in close proximity to downtown Banff. Room included a kitchen, fireplace, washroom, and fairly small bedroom. Located on a mountian surrounded by trees. No real complaints.
That was very fantastic vacation. I would recommed the lodge to my friends.
Hotel was very good, Location is a little bit away from downtown, but they gave a bus card to towndown freely. Sometimes noisy but tolerable to me.
It's a clean place to stay with beautiful view. Everything is good except parking space which is too small.
Spend a nice 2 day weekend here after getting a good Boxing Day special. The smallest condo was fabulous for 2 people. Full kitchen including dishwasher and woodburning fire place. We had a room facing the forest which even though the parking lot was crowded and the resort was busy gave us an illusion of being in a secluded forest. Only complaint was the noisy neighbours above us. Their footsteps and door bangs were very noisy and we could hear their music until midnight. Fortunately through the night they were quiet and overall it was a great stay
The person at the front desk, a woman named Kelly, I think, was very friendly and helpful. We loved the wood fireplace in the room, although it'd be great if it had been easier to get the wood (they were out in the first parking lot we went into). The hot pool and sauna were also nice - Banff essentials. Would def. stay there again.
We had a great stay, have stayed here many times while family is in town. The hot tub and view is the best part of this hotel, however it would be nice if the hot tub stayed open until 11pm. The staff was wonderful, and even gave us a late check out the following day. As always, an enjoyable stay and wonderful views from the hot tub.
