The overall appearance and smell was bad. The sheet had a hole burned into it, and was stained. The hall carpet was foul. Wouldn’t go back.

Close enough to everything I absolutely needed that I could walk where I needed to go

What was unique was the amount of homeless people around the area. Didn't dare eat at the Carl's Jr there. The pool and hot tub had a weird foam layer over the surface, didn't look appealing at all. The hotel room was nice except the phone didn't work, everything was unplugged, and the bathtub looked questionable. Staff was very nice and helpful.

2 days, close to restaurants and freeway. Ample parking and inexpensive. Nice TV.

Even at the low price it’s not worth it. Such a disappointment and don’t get me even started about the “continental breakfast “...maybe in Bangledesh but no where else!

Microwave above sink in bathroom, dangerous! One cup coffee maker under under edge of microwave with foam cup. Fresh brewed coffee is 185 degrees.if cup cracks u would get 3rd degree burns. Owner isn't friendly. Very accusatory. Didn't Kno laws about service dogs. Carpet was filthy. He said it wasn't but I wiped a small area with white cloth that came up black. Front desk employees were very nice.

I'm a pretty laid-back kind of traveler and all I was looking for was an easy-to-find, simple, economical place to stay in Bakersfield on a last-minute vacation detour. I read several reviews and most of them had to do with freeway noise, which doesn't usually bother me, so I made the reservation. This hotel served it's purpose for me. While I did have a few problems with my key cards, the front desk staff was helpful in not only switching me rooms but also helping me figure out what the problem was (hint: if the door doesn't open pushing down on the handle, pull it up!) After grabbing dinner (and there were several quick, convenient options nearby) as I got settled in I couldn't make the TV or the heater/thermostat work (but I'm pinning that on operator error - I was pretty tired when I arrived). In the end I was fine without them... and the freeway noise really wasn't an issue!

staff were nice, outside littered with lots of cigarette , butts, room OK but bed was awful, harder than rock, pillows ridiculously uncomfortable. After 10 hours of driving we thought we would crash and sleep great but we were up and down all night. Breakfast was a joke, not worth more than a dollar if that much. Coffee very bitter, milk ok,, plain toast, juice was really orangeaid, some packaged cinnamon buns and cheap cold cereal.

The hotel was dated. There were bad stains on the carpet. It had a small refrigerator & we had put sk MN e groceries into it the night before including ice cream & by morning time everything was bad. I did make a complaint to the front desk at check out. But was not compensated. The clerk stated that she would let maintenance knuw.

Very comfy stay. King size bed along with a sofa living area was available and you didn't feel squished. Had plenty of room to walk around. Microwave and mini fridge enough for the night. Great overnight stay and great price. Many fast food and dining options near by. Close to 99 freeway with window open heard some traffic noise but then again we did face that way.

We only needed the hotel for one nightand didn't want to spend a fortune. The rooms were not horrible and the pricing was not bad. They were. Older rooms and need some work but I would return again for a little weekend.

The rooms are reasonably clean which is a big plus. The AC system barely cools the room - no need for bed cover until about 0330 hrs. I asked for a handicapped room - what I got was an 'accessible' room - meaning a wheel chair could get through the bathroom door and there was a long hose on the shower. Other than that, handicapped people are out of luck. The commode is regular height, there's no seat for the bathtub, and no shelves to put anything around the tub. If you're there for one night and not too handicapped, maybe you can make do, otherwise...

Great location. Walked across the street for dinner and when we came back we decided to soak our feet in the hot tub. After about 10 minutes my husband noticed cockroaches floating in the tub. Ugh! Other than that the room was okay, breakfast not worth bothering.

The first room they put me in smelled like smoke so they upgraded me to a better room (Jaccuzi). I was traveling without my family so it was fine for me. There is no way my wife would have been happy staying at that hotel.

The hotel was centrally located in a good area. The room was clean and the staff was very friendly. Room size was good. The added benefit of having a refrigerator and microwave was great.

The Rodeway Inn and Suites was a fine place to stay for the mid-range cost. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. It would have been nice to have an iron and ironing board in the room and when I called to borrow one from the front desk the staff said they had all been checked out but did not offer any indication of when one would be available--They just check them out, it seems, and don't ask people to bring them back asap. Also didn't offer to see if the borrowed ones were done being used. Other than that, the stay was very pleasant.
