Friendly Staff That Treat You Like Family! Great Dining! Comfortable Clean Rooms! Great Place To Stay Especially after Driving for 5 hours to get to Auckland and then Driving around Auckland for another 5 to 6 hours to do Business! Lovely not having to worry about finding a place to unwind, have a Great Dinner and Good Nights Rest! All Good! Thanks Ibis Ellerslie and Wonderful Staff!!! :)

Although we only stayed one night, it was well worth it. we had friends coming to pick us up. They travelled from the North Shore. Ibis Ellerslie was the perfect choice. Close to auckland, for us travelling there by train from Britomart Very close to the motorway, for our friends who came to collect us for a trip south.

I'm fussy with my accomodation and this Is one of the best. Would always stay here. The staff and service is amazing ( ran out of milk and they arrived quickly with real milk not the tiny container) . the location is fantastic .. the rooms are tidy and well presented . Nothing is too much trouble it seems .. my only drawback is I do find the mattress very hard , it that just me as I do like a softer mattress. You can't go past this hotel for service and value

The wait time to check in was quite a while but it was a Saturday afternoon so I guessing that's why. Room was fine. Bar area drinks and dinner were fine to. Mine only complaint would be breakfast, it was terrible. Fruit ran out and they seemed to take forever to refill. No brown bread it was all white of various sorts. Homemade baked beans as the sign said were disgusting, they should stick to traditional baked beans!! Bacon was cold, hash browns were cold unless you could get one from directly under the heat lamp and even the eggs I ordered over the counter were cold by the time I got them.

Wanted a place close to an event we were attending at the Ellerslie race course. We could walk to it easily and to the Greenlane Station and hence easy access to Auckland CBD. Room was small but had all we needed. Staff friendly and room service prompt with a good selection. Short walk to shops in Remuera. Busy road outside but noise not an issue. Room not quite ready when we arrived and we were given a complementary coffee while we waited.

We enjoy the Ibis Hotel at Ellerslie in Auckland as it is centrally accessible to all areas for us. It has a wonderful restaurant with the best service and food, along with a bar/lounge which also has brilliant facilities. The bed was so comfortable and although right beside the motorway no vehicle noise was heard. Great parking for hotel guests. We are part of the Accor group which lets us stay at Ibis, Novotel etc

We have been staying here for 1 week. This hotel is elegant, cozy and set in a convenient location (far from the CBD chaos, but close to the railway and to the bus services - 20' to Britomart). The rooms are nice, full of all comforts (hair dryer, big-screen tv, kettle, mugs, ironing board and iron, fridge, perfectly working A/C...) and super-clean! The housekeeping service works very well. And if you need, there's a guest laundry, where you can wash and dry your clothes. We also tried the Acacia Restaurant, and were completely satisfied by the quality and variety of food served. Last but not least, staff is very kind and efficient. I had a problem with a couple of lights and the hair-dryer, and they fixed everything straightaway.

The Ibis and Novotel share the same reception, restaurant etc. the Ibis is the more economic one, I've stayed in both and the Novotel is more spacious and comfortable but the Ibis is comfy too especially with its pod like ensuites. Parking is limited around the hotel but there is free parking if you're prepared to walk across to the general race course car park. I've stayed here many times and it has a nice feel to the place especially for lady's travelling on their own.

The rooms were a touch tiny and bathroom a plastic encased room. Staff confused about Master discounts. Rooms always cleaned an very tidy, great seafood smorgasbord board. Inconsistent "happy hour" prices. Helpful friendly staff for travel advise.

So I'm in my mid 50s and travel quite a bit. This place barely passed but wouldn't call it a good stay. Had no choice as I booked only a week earlier and while it was clean, I paid a lot and should have gotten much more.....but really, it's like a student dorm room and the bed is tiny as is the room and shower. I stayed one night and moved to the Novatel next door....literally. Book the Novatel which is in the same building and for the same money, a room twice the size and looks like a real hotel room. So, only book here if you have to. Oh, they share the dining facilities. Worst Buffet breakfast in many years. But not much option as these hotels are in the middle of a business part with nothing close by........will not stay here again.....not a convenient location and far from downtown.......oh, and don't get me started on the lady at the front desk......messed up my reservation 3 times....manager had to be called to fix it all......sheesh!
