Rooms need updating. No hot water the entire trip. They put me in a basic room the first day even though I paid for the beachfront honeymoon suite. Food was just ok. Staff on the beach was amazing! Property is beautiful. Beach is even better, but they don’t answer the phones or emails or room service so once you’re there you have to just hope things go ok. I personally had to repair multiple things in my room including the broken toilet handle and water valve and leaking ceiling air conditioner because nobody responds to phone calls or requests. They even gave me a number to call that was out of service… better management would make this a better place. It says 5 stars but it’s really about 3

The beach was beautiful and the waters were crystal clear and blue. The sand was white and soft. The atmosphere was peaceful and quiet, which helped us to relax. The resort grounds were very safe to walk around in and well maintained. The spa massage was so amazing and I wish you would’ve done that as soon as we arrived. I believe it costed $50 US for 25 minutes, we got a couples massage so it was about $100 together. Well, worth it we really loved visiting the other resorts and checking them out and seeing what they were like.

Overall, we had a good stay. The landscaping was amazing — you can really see the effort they put into maintaining the grounds, and it made the resort feel beautiful and relaxing. The entertainment staff were also fantastic and did an amazing job keeping guests engaged and having fun. That said, there are a few areas that could be improved. The rooms could definitely use more renovation and updating. We also had issues with our key cards not working properly, which was frustrating. One of the towel attendants was quite rude, which didn’t leave a good impression. Additionally, it would help if more staff had stronger English communication skills to make interactions easier for guests. Food was okay — not bad, but not particularly memorable either. Overall, a good stay with great outdoor spaces and entertainment, but some service and room improvements would make the experience much better.

WOW — what a stay at this all‑inclusive resort! The room definitely needed some updates, but everything else was truly awesome. The food was great, the people were warm and welcoming, and the beach and pool were absolutely beautiful. Huge shoutout to the staff who made our trip unforgettable: • Nelson, the amazing pool bartender • Alexander, guest services • Juan Carlos and the entire pool team • Israel and Elvis, our wonderful servers They went above and beyond every day. One honest note: I do not recommend the massage services — definitely an area that needs improvement. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and will absolutely be returning for another visit!

I’m stunned this place is still open. It’s dated and dirty. The road leading up to it might as well have been the Oregon trail. Canadians are the nicest people. I met a man at the bar from Canada and it was his first trip to the Dominican Republic. He paid for VIP access and said he’d never return. As a Dominican that has been to at least a dozen resorts on the island, I’ve never met someone that was so unimpressed with it. I’ve attached pictures. These reviews must be bot generated. I am stunned that the resort rated across various sites. Do not believe them. This review is not a reflection on the employees or service. They are lovely and it’s not their fault they’re working in what I imagine Shady Pines looked like before Sophia burned it to the ground. Except for housekeeping because just look at the pictures.

No place to sit by the pool or the beach. Not enough chairs and nobody there cares to resolve the issue. Food was not sanitary. Five of the seven of my family got food poisoning. Terrible vacation and I’m sure none of you care about us.

I had a great stay at Punta Cana Princess Adults Only. The hotel is very nice, well maintained, and the atmosphere is calm and relaxing. My room was clean and comfortable, which made it easy to fully enjoy the trip. The food and drinks were good with plenty of options, and the staff was welcoming and professional throughout my stay. One thing to note is that the resort feels more suited for a senior or laid-back crowd. If you’re younger and looking for more energy or a party vibe, the sister hotel nearby would probably be a better fit. Overall, it was a lovely experience and a great choice for anyone wanting a peaceful all-inclusive getaway.
