Spent two nights here on holiday for the Ed Sheeran concert at Mt Smart Stadium. Perfect location for the concert as it is right opposite the Smales Farm bus stops, where we caught the free concert transport to and from, but away from the hustle of the city. Also a two minute walk to the hospital. Very clean and spacious rooms which was great. Basic cooking facilities, stovetop, microwave, etc. Our towels were changed on the second day but the bed wasn’t made - not a huge deal to us - but just thought it was odd as we first thought no one had come and I’d left the towels on the rail to be re-used. Again, not a big issue Plenty of covered parking available too which is always a bonus! Would definitely stay here again.
Stayed here for 2 nights during a business trip. It was clean and comfortable and the staff were really nice. I would definitely recommend this motel as it has everything you would need and easy to get to the motorway, smalespark or into Takapuna.
Rooms are clean and spacious, however no air con and limited windows for air flow, and the property is dated. However for proximity to Poynton Retirement Village, North Shore Hospital, Smales Farm bus station and Milford shopping it is well situated. The staff were very friendly and obliging.
I needed accommodation on two separate occasions in the same weekend due to renovations at my home. This motel was handy to work so it made sense to stay. Both times I was on the ground floor. The rooms were noisy with people and cars coming and going overnight. Lighting was dull and the paint could do with an update. The main issue for me was the mould in the bathroom. I have the place the benefit of the doubt, however on returning to a second room with the same obvious issue there seems to be a theme. Bed was ok, linen was slightly itchy for me. Not sure I would return.
Pros- close to hospital. Warm, balcony, roomy. T.v + sky, fridge, jug. 2 beds. Big bathroom. Spa bath. Close to bus station. Cons- no lift (2 stories), horrible beds, big spa so hard to get into. Lould Cars outside.
Motel is central to Milford and close to North Shore hospital. Easy access to and from motorways. It's about a 1km walk to Milford mall and shops. Studio room was large and warm. I would recommend as an affordable motel on Shore with easy access to city.
Not much to tell you. It's an OK motel, bed is good, location is good if that's what you want - and this time I did. It's a purely functional room, don't go looking for char,. Bed was comfy and the water was hot. It's not the fault of the proprietor that NZ TV is dreadful!
The staff were so helpful but had very limited knowledge of even their own suburb and area of accessible conveniences; such as food outlets, medical services and the names of their own surrounding suburbs. In New Zealand a receptionist and staff working with the public should be able to speak English and communicate in English this was not the case. But on a long weekend and a late at night find we had to take it. The room was a studio and had the door entering directly into the public parking and this was not acceptable. Every time we opened our door to go to the car everyone in the large parking area could see directly and with ease into our accommodation. The room had no windows open so the smell of dirty clothes that had cleaned was awful; we had to sleep un safely with the ranch door open to get rid of the dirty smell in the room. This was with us on the ground floor with access from off the street. The bathroom had no window/s and the extractor fan was absolutely blocked with dirt. When you turned it o all it did was blow in the smell of the off the street petrol fumes and street way dust. I can say the bed linen was very clean and of great quality and had been very well presented and made. The kitchen area was clean and out dated but acceptable. THE CARPET WAS FILTHY DIRTY I would imagine coming direct from the oil ridden and dirty garage one had no other option. Really we were so tired on arrival so made no fuss but when I told the manager the next day she seemed shocked. Maybe she thought that this was 5 star quality but for me it was really a great disappointment. We would not recommend the place. Our room had no air conditioner.
Very nice motel. Staff extremely accommodating. 9/10 for cleanliness. Fabulous spa bath and good water pressure in shower. Comfortable queensized bed. Room was a good size also. Free wifi and almost all Sky channels. Handy to shops...dairy and best pizza place. North Shore Hospital across the road. Handy!. Definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.
Clean room with good amenities and spa bath. Close for motorway access. 10 minutes drive to Devonport stops and ferry terminal to Auckland. $155 / night is a bit pricey but that is Auckland today where accomodation costs rival Sydney and Singapore. Wifi was very patchy, tourists expect a very good wifi service these days.
