Got sent to unclean room when checked-in, room hasn't been done, trash everywhere and / the bed / bathroom undone. Have to waited another 25-30 mins so causing a delay and effected plan for the night. Poor communication, no apology, instead of sending the new key card upstairs, I have to go all the way back to the reception on ground floor with a big bag. This kind of mistake can happen but the way they dealing with it is unimpressed and can done in a lot better way, no compensation whatsoever, wouldn't stay there again.

Great place for a great price at a great location , few mins walk to sky city and many restaurants and dining options at a walking distance. Would highly recommend if you are on a budget and still want stay in the city.

Terrible guest service desk, beat up carpets. No amenities, terrible communication. We asked for a 4am wakeup call. Luckily we woke up before 4 because their call came at 4:53. Pathetic

It was a very practical Hotel . It had a washer / dryer, well stocked kitchen, and a cold breakfast delivered to our door every day.

This was a great room for 4 people. Two rooms that shared a living room with a full mini kitchen (fridge, sink, dishes, etc.). It was wonderful to be able to spend our down time together, and we were about 15 minutes from the ferry terminal and 5-10 minutes from some really cool sections of downtown (between Hobson and Queen Street). We did run out of toilet paper which was weird, and we didn't have any kleenex in the room, but breakfast was delivered and the location was great. We were able to park on the street (Sat-Mon) for significantly cheaper than the garage.

This hotel locates in a main street. Easy to find. Walking distance to SkyTower. Street parking is free over the weekend but can hardly find one. The hotel facilities are pretty old. There was a washing machine in my room so I placed everything into it but only to find it is broken. There was no sign on the washing machine said it was broken. I called the front desk and they said it is a broken one and they cannot fix it. In addition, I am from US so I don't have the adapter to charge my iPhone. So I borrowed one from front desk. However, I found the "borrow" actually charged me $5. Even more than the amount I buy from the grocery store nearby. It's really disappointing.

Friendly and helpful staff, very close to everything

City Oaks is an apartment hotel in downtown Aukland. Walking distance to the downtown Aukland sites. Next to police station, so on occasion there would be a siren. Apt was comfortable and pleasant. I would stay here again. To share a story, used the washer/dryer at the end of our stay. Big mistake. It took us a while to figure out how it worked - the instructions were found behind the machine on the floor. The laundry took a while to wash and then even longer to dry. It was still wet when it was finished, and we spent the early morning using the blowdryer and iron to dry the clothes. If you plan to use the washer/dryer, wash early and in very small loads.

Location is excellent and so are the amenities in the room, specially the washing machine, a total surprise for me!!

This is by far the worst 4 star hotel you can find in the world. Service was terrible. The place stinks. Furniture is old, towels have been used so many times and turned grey. Only a few TV channel. Honestly, it is a 2-3 star hotel.

The hotel far exceeded our expectations! We were pleasantly surprised to find a washer/dryer, full kitchen, comfy bed, and a partial view of the marina. Not bad for $10 more than a hostel! Friendly staff and great overall experience.

the Good: Safe, good night's sleep, great kitchen and laundry facilities. the Bad: ' breakfast pack' was 1yogurt, 1granola bar, 1banana, 1 slice of cake, 1box juice. x2people...no problem with the breakfast, just that they frequently forgot to give it to me, and i had to call down to remind them to send. Asked for wake up call, I got it 1/2 hour LATE.

Good value for money. Very good location,close to the city center.

Clean and comfortable. Would stay here again. NOT a luxury hotel at all. Our suite (G07) had a wonderful view of the back of the police station. If you want on-site parking, specify when making your reservation, or it will be unavailable. Three blocks to nearest ATM. Staff is friendly and willing, but not terribly knowledgeable.

Breakfast delivered to your room in basket. No hotel dining room

Good Value in a great location. No Wifi. Plug in internet only for 1 hour per day. My room was clean.
