The front desk Staff from Friday Night to Sunday Days are stellar, they are very attentive, caring, are very Friendly. They are the best front desk staff I have encountered in a long time
Very small rooms for Atlanta. Bathrooms are not private.
I LOVED the view I had from my room.
Overall this is an excellent hotel, and we enjoyed our stay. One big drawback which people need to know about: there is no proper bathroom in the room, at least in the standard one. The sink is right in the room, as is the shower, and the toilet is right across from the beds behind a door. This is a weird setup, which may work for 1 person, but if you are staying together with someone, then it will create a lot of awkwardness with bathroom routines. This is a very real detractor from an otherwise pleasant experience.
While the hotel itself was nice, as was some staff. However, my second night there my neighbors had a room party that was extremely loud. I called the front desk and was told they would send someone up right away. 45 minutes later I called again and she said they would get someone up there "at some point". Needless to say that waking up for an hour or two did not make for enjoyable sleep. Then upon checkout they didn't ask if I enjoyed my stay, etc...
The surrounding property has Consruction and restaurants was closed Monday However they did give suggestions and drive me to a restaurant.
Restaurant was not open and we planned on eating there. We also planned on taking the shuttle to the airport but it didn’t start until 6 am and our fight boarded at 6:40 am and did not leave time to take the shuttle. That was a huge miss. We would never have stayed there if we knew the shuttle would not work out for us. That is a huge reason we stayed there. I would love to be reimbursed for an extra day of car rental while there because of the shuttle situation.
Kimpton was an excellent place to stay before an early flight or if you plan to go to the Porsche Experience.
Cleanses and quit place to stay
Property had one employee answering calls and checking guests in. There was one person in front of us in line and that check in took nearly 20 mins because of all the phone calls the employee was taking. He was on the phone the entire duration of both our checkin and the check in of the guest in front of us.
This was a great place to stay for our recent Porsche experience.
There’s, typically, only one person at the front desk so expect a long wait. The clerk had a lobby full of guests waiting to check in while she had everyone waiting for over 15 minutes to take a call from a previous guest who was attempting to resolve a billing issue. I’ve never seen a phone call take precedence over in person guests. It would have been nice to see her take a number where the person could be reached for a call back after she cleared the lobby. Also, the restaurant isn’t serving food, there are no vending machines on site and there’s only 1 bottle of water in the room for 2 guests. The outer door is in disrepair and the hotel keys don’t seem to give access to the building. You still have to buzz the front desk to be let in after you show your parking or room key. I must say that considering the affiliation with Porsche, I was expecting an upscale experience, but I could have stayed at a Hampton Inn and had this same experience for much less and probably would have had at least a ending machine. There is a very small, yet overpriced snack offering behind the front desk where my husband paid $4 for a Reese’s cup before we ended up ordering DoorDash. Needless to say, this hotel did not deliver on what they sell on the website. The rooms aren’t as plush as they appear on the site nor is the ambiance there. And the staff is lackluster, at best. I arrived hopeful, but immediately upon arrival the tone was set for a mediocre stay. Womp.
