This hotel is under construction and going through a renovation. It appears that the renovation has no rhythm or reason. Most renovations in a hotel will focus on small areas at a time until completely finished. This eliminates putting a hardship on the customer and presents the hotel in a better way. But the renovation on this hotel was all over the place: the lobby, the registration desk, the breakfast room, the sitting area, etc. We reserved an executive suite (paid more than a regular room). Our understanding of an executive suite is a much nicer and bigger room with more amenities. The only thing that was different was the fact a microwave and refrigerator were in the room. Oh and a bottle of water and popcorn. Very disappointed! Bottom line is that I understand during renovations and construction things can be out of place and cause bad reviews. My review is not coming into the hotel and having to deal with the renovation itself. My review is the scattered construction causes more discomfort compared to doing small sections at a time and the description and advertisement of the Executive Suite is misleading.

I suggest the hotel inform that there is a renovation under conduction to avoid inconvenientes like fire alarms turned on without reason

Stayed here because it was affordable and had good ratings and mainly because it was close to airport. Only complaint was that we did not know we had to reserve a long term parking spot ahead of time and there were none available when we checked in the night before our flight to Punta Cana. We wound up having to park at Marriott next door. Other guests complained that there were no parking spaces available even for short term. Think that guests of hotel should have parking as opposed to non guests.

Staff was great. Room was clean. Easy to get to the airport. Our 3 complaints were: The hallways were freezing cold!, the fan on the A/C wouldn't stay on even when placed on "continuous", and the pancakes were so rubbery that they were inedible.

Worst hotel experience ever!! I'm sorry to have to write this because the staff was GREAT. However I feel obligated to warn people. I wish someone had told me. Ok so luckily we were not here long just staying night to catch early flight. First, when you walk into room you can clearly see the bed sinking down in middle even with covers on. Next turned on VERY loud AC which NEVER cooled off even though Robert the maintenance guy came and tried. Toilet mad running noise all through the night. Water faucet was so hard to turn on that Robert had to come back and do it and even he had a difficult time. You could also hear any noise down the hall such as someone opening their door all night long. The room was not insulated at all so you could also see hall light. After not sleeping most of the night, I thought I could just turn this stay around with some get HOT coffee that was offered in lobby. IT WAS COLD!!! Never have I wanted to get to Airport faster.

The hotel was nice. However, what I didn't know was that you need to pay to park at the hotel for my short trip. I stayed before and after my one week trip out of Atlanta Airport and booked this hotel because they have airport shuttle. However, what I didn't know was that there is a separate parking system including this hotel's parking lot and other hotels nearby which requires advance reservation and payment online. When I checked in, I told them that I will leave my car at the parking lot till I come back and that is when I learned the system. I found out that this hotel's lot was already fully booked and I had to park at other hotel's parking lot and took airport shuttle from and to that hotel. I wish the hotel website or Orbtiz had the information about the parking.

Time for an Building upgrade; for a Bettt ROI... Looks nothing like other wonderful Holiday Inn Expess Hotels. This is a brand ruining building!

The experience at this hotel was terrible. The front desk staff was horrible and did not accommodate us well. I always check our bedding when I stay at hotels. when I pulled the sheets back it was OBVIOUS that housekeeping did not change the sheets. (There was make up and hair on our pillows) I called the manger and he said I am sorry we will move you to another room. He sent the driver of the hotel transport bus with our new keys and nothing to move our luggage. It was just a very GROSS and unpleasant experience. On a side note-DO NOT order take out food from any of the vendors listed in your room. The food is terrible and expensive. The only positive is this hotel had a pretty good breakfast according to my husband. I was too afraid to try the food and decided to wait until we got to the airport.

Was great hotel for airport and very nice staff.

I am a great fan of holiday inn. This holiday inn needs lot of renovation.

Pros: Nice facilities and friendly staff. Shuttle came on time and driver was talkative and very nice. Comfortable bed. Good airconditioning. Cons: The water coming out of the faucet is undrinkable. It didn't even get mildly cold and there were small particles floating in the cup. I had to buy bottled water from the vending machine ($2). Low-definition TV. The fire alarm went off at 3am and the hotel had to be evacuated due to another guest boiling noodles too long. I don't fault the hotel for that.

Nice hotel close to airport 24 hour shuttle yaaaaaaaaaaa but breakfast does not start until 6 a.m. bo ho for those early birds flites. Room clean bathroom also 2 thumbs up on clean water pressure great. Only negative item was pick up from zone 1 at Atlanta hotel shuttle site. Had to call hotel to find out to go to zone 1 for this shuttle. Fast servive from Atl to hotel. Shuttle from hotel to Atl waited for over 30 minutes Called twice & got the old shuttle on the way traffic is heavy, answer Interesting as the return to hotel took less than 10 ,minutes Are per friendly 4 a fee Would & have stayed here b 4 Solo travelor female felt safe

it was a nice stay froendly staff, free shuttle free beakfast

We found this hotel on Orbitz but we were still a little skeptical. It had mix reviews. I can assure you this is a nice hotel to stay. It is close to the airport like we wanted it. Plus it was close to all of the venues we wanted to attend.

Excellent location for one night stay with easy access to the Interstates I85 and I75.

Room muggy, air conditioning could not be adjusted, mattress stiff, bed covers could not be pulled up past waist Staff friendly, helpful.

Nice, clean convenient hotel. Very nice breakfast

We chose this hotel because of the opportunity to leave our car here and be shuttled to the airport. It was definitely our best option and the shuttles were very reliable.

The room was great, but the staff is incompetent. We tried to use the business center to print our boarding passes and there was a large group of girls literally camped out in their pajamas. When we checked back in an hour they were gone but one computer's keyboard wasn't working and the other would not print. I asked at the desk and she tried to print them for me but kept telling me it wanted to charge me another $15. Not believing I needed to pay that, I went back to the computers and figured out how to get the one printer to print on the other printer. Then to top it all off, there was a little screaming down the hallway at 3:30 a.m. and nobody cared to do anything about it, including the mother who said she was only being a little girl. Aaarrrrgggg

We stayed one night and took shuttle to the airport. It was an excellent experience all around. The front desk staff was very helpful, especially Christian. Great breakfast selections, including healthy options. We would definitely choose this hotel for departures from the Atlanta airport,

Dear Sheila, We appreciate your feedback regarding our covered smoking area, airport/restaurant shuttle service, and your business. Our renovations of the lobby areas will be complete soon, and we are so ready to enjoy the finished product and share with our guests. As general manager, I take full responsibility for the mess. However, it's harder to maintain order when a third-party crew is doing the work, which is no excuse. Based on your comments, I will meet with the supervisor today and do my best to manage this process better. The renovations of our guest rooms begin in late fall which will be done by floor to eliminate similar situations. I would love to give you a tour of our show rooms next time you're in the area. We know apologies don't always fix past experiences. Please provide us with another opportunity and express our soon to be "fabulous new look," allowing us to deliver the excellent service you expect and deserve at every Holiday Inn Express hotel. Respectfully, Andrew W., General Manager Holiday Inn Express Atlanta Airport-College Park

Dear Cheruby, First, thank you for staying with us and giving us a four-star review and sharing your stay with our Orbitz online community. Second, we apologize that we failed to make you aware of our airport parking program and unable to keep your vehicle during your trip. Parking in the Atlanta airport area can be frustrating. There are additional charges for extended parking at most Atlanta Airport hotels, and several packages are available. Because these parking spaces are limited, we manage this process to meet the needs of our overnight guest better. Cheruby, know your business is appreciated and we apologize for the inconvenience you encountered. We hope to have the honor of serving you again should your travels bring you back to Atlanta. Best Regards, Andrew W., General Manager Holiday Inn Express Atlanta Airport-College Park

Dear Nikki, We are pleased that our airport location was convenient during your recent trip to Atlanta. However, we sincerely apologize for the inconveniences encountered during your stay. That type situation is certainly not the experience we expect our hotel guest to receive. We pride ourselves on delivering a great hotel guest love, and it is very disappointing when we fail. I will address your comments with our front desk and housekeeping staff immediately. Guest comments are appreciated as they identify areas that need improving and allows us to modify our training according. I would like to discuss this with you in more detail. If that works for you, please contact me personally. We have completed renovations of the building exterior, the pool area, and the fitness center. The crew will finish the hallways this week. Next, we will begin a total redesign of our guest rooms replacing all furniture, fixtures, carpet and wallcoverings. We hope you will give us another opportunity to regain your trust. Please contact me personally, and I will handle your next reservations and ensure that your stay is a complete success.
