Need better lighting in bathrooms and replace bathroom sliding doors so they stay open. Understanding this is an old building, but two elevators seem insufficient for the property. I waited 5 minutes for the elevator once during my stay. Better dining offerings, especially breakfast.

I recently stayed at The Ellis Hotel by Marriott while in Atlanta for a golf tournament, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better—right in the heart of downtown, with easy access to restaurants, coffee shops, and quick routes to several nearby golf courses. The staff was exceptional throughout my stay. From check-in to checkout, everyone was professional, friendly, and genuinely considerate. I especially appreciated the follow-ups after I checked in—just to make sure everything in my room was up to standard. It’s the kind of extra attention that makes a stay memorable. My room was spotless, well-appointed, and surprisingly quiet for being in a busy part of the city. After long days on the course, coming back to such a clean, comfortable space made all the difference. Overall, I’d highly recommend The Ellis Hotel to anyone visiting Atlanta—whether you’re here for business, a tournament, or just a quick getaway. Great location, great people, and the kind of service that goes above and beyond.

I like this hotel very much I especially like the coziness of it. The rooms are small, but they’re perfect very clean. Everything you need. The staff is very professional willing to help if you’re looking for a hotel that’s near everything but still quiet. This is a place to go I highly recommend it.

We didn't have breakfast so I can't speak to it -- however, the hotel was clean, beautiful, well maintained, secure with keycard access, and we were very impressed. The staff was friendly and professional. The valet service was convenient and well worth it. The location was basically in the heart of downtown.
