I really like staying at the hotel. The hotel is beautiful especially if you are using it for an event. The rooms are nice and it has a great location. Downsides. No room service, the bar wasn’t open on a Saturday (it was off season), and if you want a refrigerator you would have to pay $25.
Nice hotel with clean room. Bed was comfortable, lots of light, curved shower rod for more room, small closet. No fridge or micro. Only issue was that the walls were a bit thin as we could hear the people next to us on both sides (guy snoring, people talking on cell phone). Also, we could hear everything ...
I booked last minute based on area, stars and price. The hotel was clean and quiet, too things that are important to a good nights sleep. Bed was comfortable with good quality sheets and pillows and room was spacious. I did not experience dining or room service as I checked in late but there was ...
Thousands of people flock to Asbury Park every year to see its wonderful attractions, such as the Asbury Park Boardwalk, which hosts parties and events throughout the year. More than 16,000 people live in the city, and the area is home to one of the best beaches in the state, according to a contest held by the New Jersey Marine Sciences Consortium. Asbury Avenue is a long road that stretches across most of the city before ending at the beaches along the Atlantic Ocean. A number of boutiques and stores sit along the road, as do nightclubs and restaurants. The downtown shopping district is also on Asbury Avenue, and the city recently renovated the area, filling it with a range of different shops and activities. While Asbury Park once had dozens of hotels along the road, only one remains. The Empress Hotel offers free parking for guests, which is a bonus given its proximity to the beach. Hotel guests can leave their car behind and get to the beach within 5 minutes. Every room in the hotel has a view of the swimming pool, beaches, or Wesley Lake. The hotel has its own upscale nightclub called Paradise, which locals claim to be one of the best dance clubs in the city. Those who want to unwind can go outside and spend time on one of the small tiki-hut-style buildings that surround the large swimming pool. Rooms at this hotel start at $105 per night.
Unlike Asbury Avenue, which runs east and west, Ocean Avenue runs north and south along the eastern part of the city. The road is only a few steps away from the beaches and is actually the last road before you reach the water. Most of the buildings along the road have amazing views of the ocean, and you can literally smell the sea air without leaving your room. The Berkley Oceanfront Hotel sits right in the middle of Ocean Avenue, and many rooms at the hotel have views of the water. Hotel rooms start at $109 per night and feature free access to a fitness center and outdoor swimming pool. A nearly 24,000-square-foot conference center is available for business travelers, and the historic building has large ballrooms available. The hotel welcomes pets, and the staff can handle special requests, such as a room with a refrigerator. The hotel offers high-speed Internet access for travelers, and the outside features small cabanas surrounding the pool. A massive renovation completed in 2007 updated the rooms and lobby, giving the historic building a modern feel.
Whether you want to visit the amazing nightclubs, take a dip in the water, or check out one of the historic structures downtown, you can do it all in Asbury Park. Visitors often visit the theater downtown and enjoy live entertainment at clubs like The Stone Pony. Save money on tickets to attractions and on affordable Asbury Park hotels at Orbitz.com.
Both times we stayed at Colts Neck Inn Hotel, the staff went above and beyond to create a welcoming environment. The most recent stay was during the "Bomb Cyclone" that happened a couple weeks ago. When the guests were snowed in, the staff provided home made soup and various side dishes as well as copious amounts of hot chocolate to ensure the guests were comfortable. I will stay at this hotel every time we visit New Jersey and cannot recommend it enough. Thank you for being as awesome as you are!
Were in town for my mom's funeral. Picked this hotel because they an indoor pool for our grandkids. The staff was very kind and understanding. Put all of the family in rooms close to each other. Were very happy with the facility. Would highly recommend.
Great hotel, friendly customer service. I would only change one thing, the breakfast area to have more than one waffle maker. Too long of a line for it and it gets congested fast because of it. But had a great stay here.
My family of 4 stayed two nights while in NJ for a wedding. the only two issues were the pillows were half the size of normal pillows, and the water pressure was very low so that when flushing the toilet the tank took 10 or more minutes to fill. If one person flushed the toilet the next person had to wait for the tank to fill. I couldn't open the valve to increase water pressure myself.
