historic iconic property that is a great place to stay

The room I chose was an “ocean view king” suite. You could BARELY see the ocean from my window. It also was very overpriced for what you get. The room was hot and we had thermostat as low as it can go. Also there was workers outside loudly talking outside our window at 6:30 am that woke us up and kept us awake. I spent $269 for one night looking for luxury, it didn’t hit the mark.

The room had fautiy key card holder that controlled the lights inside the room. Timers inside the bathroom for lights, what if you are in the shower and the lights go out. Heating system not working. Water was coming out of the air vents.

Not what it looks like in the pictures. There wasn't anything in the room but beds. You have to pay extra for everything no fridge. No coffee, cups plastic silverware. No bedding for pull out sofa. Very old looking room. Pipes to the sink were not connected when we arrived in the room. All the sink water was pouring on the floor, had to leave the room to get it fixed. If you don't go to the pool by 9:30 am you were not allowed to use it. The pool is closed due to limited people. Couldn't use the beach as you had to buy tickets in advance the day before. Kind of tough when you are just arriving and too late to use the beach. Parking was expensive 65.00 a day. Way over priced for the days we stayed there. Not worth 1,400 for two nights. We do not recommend this place and will never stay there again.

Found a mouse running around in the room and they just non chalantly asked if I wanted a room change and that a manager will email me later...very poor way to handle this issue...you had a freaking mouse running around in the room... I wonder if other rooms in the hotel have the same problem as well.

The hotel has so much potential, but it’s overpriced and completely outdated. Is you want to be at the same caliber as the Asbury Hotel, you need to invest some money into the property.

Arrived at the hotel early checked in and was told would be contacted when room was ready. Came back at check in time at 4PM only to find out there was no AC in the entire hotel. Was informed by guest in front of me checking out due to not having AC.

We didn't spend too much time in the hotel or room, however, it was clean. We had an ocean view, which was beautiful. The only downside is, we asked for another comforter and they gave us a thicker, non-fluffy type.

Large rooms Comfortable beds & linens Outdoor pool

I booked a king suite with ocean view but was given a standard room. I asked the front desk when checking in to make sure I had the ocean view suite. The next morning I showed the front desk my reservation and she said she couldn’t move my room. The amenities were completely lacking, no coffee fridge or microwave in the room. They also stopped giving beach passes “due to Covid”. Ridiculous because other properties still give beach passes. Will never stay again

Great beautiful hotel. Always amazing staff. So close to the beach and main street and good restaurants

This is an average hotel which has potential if and when ownership makes the appropriate investment.

We had the best time. The rooms and hallways are very dated but all around we had a great time and would absolutely recommend it.

Unfortunate treatment of customers with an unwillingness and inflexibility that I will assuredly communicate to anyone interested in staying in Asbury Park.

Great hotel! Our room was spacious, clean, and well designed. We were attending an event at the convention center so this was the perfect place to stay being right across the street. The staff were very friendly! The only two things we did not like were 1. They charged a $22 resort fee we were not expecting-it is January-the pool is closed-what resort amenities would we be using? 2. Parking was $45 and not even valet. Had to drive the car around to the back of the building and walk bags out. It seemed pretty steep for not being in a city-so between that and the resort fee it was an additional $67 on top of the $200 we spent on the room for the night. We also later found out from friends there was a free lot on Grand Street around the corner and another friend parked on the street until 3am for like $6. So just keep in mind the almost $70 extra dollars you will end up spending on top of your stay.

Outlets not all working, bathroom light bulb missing. The smallest bathroom i have ever encountered.

This hotel has a great location. I stayed there twice, both time off-season. The rooms are large and bright, with comfortable furnishings. There is a lack of information in the rooms about the amenities so I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a continental breakfast included in my room rate. The front desk is not always staffed, but I am sure that can't be true in the peak season. Overall, a good experience which I will certainly repeat.
