3 houses from the beach. Quiet neighborhood Nice rooms / porches to hang. Great breakfast.

The owners are lovely and gracious hosts. The B&B is as charming and comfortable as they come. Breakfast was superb and coffee and amenities were plentiful. Will be back!

Great stay. Great people. Great location. Tough to park. Bed was small.

The staff are accommodating and the facility is clean. I like the breakfast spread too!

The property, location, owners and staff made my few-day stay very enjoyable and relaxing. The beach is practically across the street, the rooms are quaint and comfortable, the common areas, including the full, two level covered porches were charming and allow for full enjoyment of the beach view. Breakfast each morning was homemade and delicious and there's an ice cream shop in the building as well. You can walk for miles on the boardwalk and beach or just enjoy the beautiful beach. Restaurants are close by and the recommendations made by the owners were spot on. Truly an enjoyable vacation!

It is a great Victorian hotel - if you love antiques! 4th floor room lovely but not convenient- had to drag bags - but 2 great porches! Super close to beach.

At a time that I am sure was Peak it was nice to be able to get a room and the price was affordable. It is a very old building, circa 1871, and lacked the comfort creatures we have become to expect. However, I was only looking for a place to sleep and shower, and the Lillagaard met those expectations. The single room was very small but again it sufficed. Ownership is exceptional and I really appreciated their welcoming and friendly attitude. I would stay again with a significant other in a bigger room.

Since you spend your nights at the B&B and days at the beach, your bed should be comfortable. The mattress was 25 years old and sank in the middle, the sheets were cheep and not fitting the Queen sized bed, and 2 of the 4 pillows had seen better days. There were 2 bathrooms, both with showers, but one had the toilet and the other, the sink. Not the best experience.

An overnight stay, our first room was too small for two. We were able to upgrade to a great room for a small increase. The owners/innkeepers were very friendly and accommodating.

I went to this hotel and stayed in the small bedroom with the twin bed and private shower. I had SUCH a great weekend! The new owners were so kind to me and made me feel so welcome! This place is only a few houses down from the beach- so you can chill on the balcony and feel like you're right at the beach! I went for a run on the boardwalk in the morning and met up with some friends during the day- and then partied at night! I came home to what felt like my own little home away from home and slept like a baby! Then I woke up to a delicious homemade breakfast! You don't have to be a couple to enjoy this place! I highly recommend it for any singles who want to enjoy the beach and make new friends! I did and I feel like a new woman! Perks: balconies, iron room, adorable rooms, free breakfast, etc etc etc

Very adorable B&B right next to the beach - couldn't have a better location! Do not expect a Four Seasons, but expect an older B&B with a ton of charm. Very small rooms, so don't plan on spending much time in it... but as I mentioned before with the location, you won't want to be in your room when you're staring at the beach. All rooms decorated in a different "theme," which add to the uniqueness. The main floor looks like somebodies home and makes you feel at home! The owners even cook homemade breakfast for all the guests in the morning! If you're planning to "party," this isn't the place for you though, walls are very thin and food and drinks not aloud in rooms. For the right person or people, this place is fantastic though and I would definitely go back!

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, July 4th weekend gets pretty tough to park anywhere along the Jersey Shore! We have plenty of options for rooms with Queen and King beds as well as singles for your next visit!
