It was nice and quiet. Close to where I needed to be.

I have stayed at this hotel many times. Really comfortable pillowtop bed, kitchen with dishes, convenient location to see my Dr. I slept better there than at home! Also nice T.V., quiet and pet friendly too.

Hotel is spacious, clean, and located in a nice area close to shopping area. The entrance/reception area is kind of small but staffs are friendly. Kitchen inside the room help us prepare food for kids who are hungry all the time. This is a great choice when visiting Ann Arbor.

Love the multiple HD TVs, free popcorn, and cleanliness. We went for a Mich Football game and the location was great, especially being beside the mall. We walked to the stadium, which seemed a lot quicker on the way there than the way back. Free parking was great. Comfortable and great stay. A bit pricey, but everything in that area is. Would recommend it to a friend.

WIFI, washing machine, drying nachine and gym are free. Some malls are close. They are useful

Let us have an early check in. Walking distance to the Big House. More than needed in the room for a one night stay but very clean. Will stay again.

Asked the front desk to have the AC unit checked and the humidity aggravated my asthma. Clothes smelled musty when I opened suitcase a few hours after packing. Would not stay there again.

The room was decent, however it had nothing special to charge 150 a night for. We were in NH a few weeks ago at another hotel and we got a suite there and it was so nice. It had those added touches to make your trip special. Extra decorative pillows, breakfast. This hotel didnt have any of those things. It was a standard room with a kitchen room and a living room. We chose the suite due to the fact that we have a 2 year old and a five year old. The five year old got the pull out sofa and the two year old got a crib. When we asked for a crib, they had to track it down. Fortunately they had one available, because thats all they have, ONE. There was barely enough room for the open pull out and the crib. they literally touched each other. We had to move out a few pieces of furniture into the kitchen area, just to put the two beds out. We were also told at check in that they do not clean the rooms daily. Only once a week, if you stay that long. you have to bring down any towels or sheets to the office if you want new ones, then remake your own beds. Seriously, thats gross. Not staying here again, too high a price for too little service.

They remodeled since I was here last but personally I liked the old decor better. But it had the same amenities (kitchen with dishes) and other things like before. Bed is a pillowtop so that was nice too.

I wasn't looking for anything fantastic when I booked the room. But to be honest aside from the external appearance I can't understand why this hotel is rated as a 2 star. I think too many people out there expect too many things in this world. The room was great. It had a full size refrigerator, a small cook top, an over the rang microwave. And that was the kitchen area. A swivel mounted flat screen tv, a large desk area, place to stow my things. A large bathroom. A queen size bed. Free WiFi. Honestly like I said aside from the external appearance I don't get it. I wish people on the internet would stop crying like a bunch of children when they review things.

They were under renovation at the time, but that didn;t effect our stay at all. The room was clean, staff was excelent, and it was close to campus and the football stadium.

The hotel was clean and the room was spacious and had applicances including a microwave, fridge, and ice maker in the freezer which all came in handy. Other reviews have said it was hard to find so I just printed out a close up map of the area from Google maps and we found it without a problem. We used yellow cab and the ride from the hotel to downtown area was $11 which was great. Also, we were only a few minutes from the field and it was not hard to find at al from where we were coming from. If we go back to Ann Arbor, we will definitly be staying at the Candlewood Suites.

My husband and I spent two nights at Candlewood Suites recently. The receptionist was very friendly. She checked us in an hour early and gave us maps of the city and local area. Because of our early check-in, we were assigned one of the handicap accessible rooms right off the lobby. The room was clean & spacious though it did have a faint tobacco smell suggesting the room was not always smoke-free. Although the hotel location was right off the interstate loop, it was still difficult to find due to Ann Arbors love of one way streets and no left turns at lights! It took us several attempts and U-turns to get into the correct lane to enter the hotel (the sign of which is rather small). That was the only negative about staying at Candlewood Suites. The postives include plenty of nearby restaurants, a shopping mall, and a good price.

Close to shopping, entertainment, restaurants. Place was wonderful, price great.

The hotel was in a great location, just mins. away from the mall and downtown Ann Arbor! It was quiet and very peaceful. If I'm ever back in Ann Arbor, I already know where I'm staying!!!

It was a little strange. We get there and you have to get your room key from a 'lock box' in the vestibule before entering the hotel. It wasn't very warm and inviting. the rooms were ok...shower water pressure was horrid, and the 'curved' shower curtain bar was nothing but annoying. The bed was very comfy though and overall it was ok. Wouldn't spend another night there though.

The hotel staff was very friendly, and the hotel was very quiet. I was very happy there. It was not luxurious, but it was a good value for the money.

The room was a lot nicer than I expected! I was not expecting a full fridge and a full kitchen as well. Everything was very nice. I am very picky when it comes to clean hotels and this one was very nice. The free wi-fi was very nice and being able to watch HBO was nice as well. I was very impressed with the high security they have after 11pm. However, I wish they had a continental breakfast. The hotel was located near a lot of shopping and about a 5 minute drive to downtown Ann Arbor which I highly recommend walking around at night.

My wife and I made our 1st Trip to Ann Arbor to see a University of Michigan Football Game. We have never been to Ann Arbor, so to find the hotel only about 1.5 miles to the stadium was great! Our hotel was close to the mall and a restaurant. The hotel wasn't spectacular, but it was all that we needed for a 2 day trip. Hotel room was clean, however, no cleaning service or towel replacement(fortunately, we wasn't in the room very much). The hotel did have a serviceable kitchen with refigerator which you don't normally find. No meals, continental breakfast, etc. But, for the location with proximity to the stadium and downtown Ann Arbor, we would definitely stay there again.
