Title says it all! What else is one looking for in a budget hotel. Not sure I understand Marriott's overall product positioning since I prefer the Town Place Suites and the Residence Inn properties over the Courtyards. This TownPlace Suites property is very new and we felt that everybody went out of their way to accommodate us. We had a very pleasant stay. Rooms are decent size and modern. Bathrooms are a little small but we managed.
Stayed a week with wife and daughteriend of August, helping daughter settle in for school (U Mich). Great location, just 100m from a bus stop to town and many other places /malls. Really quite and restful area. Large mall across the street (5min away) for JC Penney, Macy etc. Town and University about 15mins bus ride. Wonderfully large room (I had a double double). Clean and functional. Small kitchenette with microwave & utensils. Self help laundry (cheap). Free breakfast - more than enough & good quality (but they served the same every day!). Best part has to be the staff - Hayley was really welcoming and tremendously and honestly warm. Always with a smile. Always willing to accommodate. And more. All the front desk staff were simply great! No regrets. Will be back to this hotel each and every trip to AA. Free wifi / desktop / printer. One last treasure - the most amazing chocolate chips cookies at 5pm. Don't be late so you won't miss it! Coffee / tea 24hrs - unlimited at lobby. Very decent room rates too. Titus (Singapore)
I never normally partake in surveys or reviews, but I have to with this hotel. I left my shoes there and I spoke to an employee and told me that a manager would e-mail me back about the status of my shoes. The assistant manager, Hayley Perry, e-mailed me back and told me that they would ship the shoes back to me at my place. I can't think of other hotels who would do that. Their staff and amenities were also excellent. I am very satisfied.
I absolutely enjoyed my stay here, breakfast could've been a little better but the professionalism and courtesy shown by the staff his website it over the top personally I would like to thank Hayley ,Luis and Jordan. Keep up the good work!!!
We were impressed with the friendly staff and the cleanliness of this hotel. The breakfast was very nice for a complementary meal. Good coffee available all day and most newspapers were supplied for the guests.
We only stayed here one night as a stopping point. The hotel is very clean, but our room was on the side of the building that abutted the highway and the highway noise kept me awake all night. I don't think I could have done a long stay here. Staff is friendly. Beds are hard. There is free breakfast but the selection was lacking compared to hotels in a similar range.
Have a reason to visit Ann Arbor regularly, and this is now the third hotel we've stayed at in the area ... and we'll keep looking. The good: Kitchenette, friendly staff, free all day coffee and breakfast, convenient location to UMich, downtown Ann Arbor, major highways and shopping areas. The average: Rooms are smaller than we are use to when staying at the Residence Inn brand of Marriott and rooms feel very lived in ... meaning, while the rooms are "surface clean," the upholstery, carpeting and vinyl flooring all need a good scrubbing/cleaning. If pressed to find a room on a busy UMich weekend, would stay here again, but if availability is not an issue, will keep looking for a favorite hotel in the area.
I liked the location, the kitchen, the free breakfast. I liked the complimentary beverages, snacks and food. I would stay here again and have already recommended it to co-workers and spouse. My room was clean.
I enjoyed staying here, the staff was really friendly and super helpful. The rooms are nice and clean, they have a little kitchenette in them. The breakfast is good, just enough to get you started. Did I mention the friendly staff!! oh and they have fresh baked cookies in the afternoon.
After staying here for over 30 days when I checked in tonight I asked for a particular room location (the front of the building) theeck told me she accommodated my request with her last room. The room was on the opposite side of the building. When I went to Dinner I told her that the odd numbers were the front of the building. Her response was when I made my reservation did I request the front of the building. I did not tell her for any other reason than knowledge. The next person may not be as accommodating as I was. For her to make it my fault!!!! By the way this is my 100+ night at a Marriott this year. Maybe it's time to spread the love around.
