Stayed here for one night on a trip to Ann Arbor. Arrived around 9:15PM and the nice desk person upgraded to us the New England suite because they were full. While the room was huge (big suite) there are 3 problems. The room AC unit was so loud and made such a rattling racket that we could not use it, so room was hot (this might be just this room). The center of hotel is an atrium with a pool and bar, which is open until 10:00PM so things did not quite down until about 10:30PM. There are indoor floodlights outside every room, which would be fine if the room curtains actually covered the whole window but they don't so your room is never really dark. If you are here for a football game, prom party, etc. and want to party, this is a great hotel for you. If you want to sleep and get good nights rest, this is not your hotel.

got in, was checked in within minutes. room was clean, internet worked. rate was good. I would stay again in a heart beat.

Nice rooms, clean, friendly staff.. great location, good breakfast, nice pool

This is an old hotel they are attempting to renovate into something new. Our room was outside, on the side of the building they were currently working on, so we had two dumpsters right outside our door. The room was ok, bed comfortable enough, downsides were cigarette burns all over the bath tub, and the room door had to be slammed with some force in order for it to catch. There were also issues with our reservation, namely because I extended the original by one night I had to then checkout and check back in between nights. Despite doing this we still had a staff person knocking on the door at 2am wondering who was in the room. We paid $150 a night for all this! For the money try the Hampton inn next door, it looks much nicer.

I had typical expectations of an Wyndham Hotel, since I am a Wyndham timeshare owner and recently stayed at the Wyndham Hotel in Chicago. I totally did not expect to walk into the worst hotel experience of my life. This hotel is VERY dated and service is horrible. The pictures on the website ARE NOT representative of what I saw. I was given a room on the bottom floor of this 2-level hotel. The room was dark and very dated. There were 3 lamps in the room, one of which was connected to the light switch on the wall but did not work. The bathroom, which included the toilet and tub, was VERY small, had a very low ceiling and very dated. I could barely fit in the room when sitting on the toilet. No natural molding around the door but they painted one on the wall! The bathroom door did not close fully. The bed mattresses were VERY worn. In the actual room there was this piece of metal on the ceiling that extended the length of the room, which I initially thought was a very dated light fixture or AC venting system but it was neither. Not sure of it's purpose! The curtain that covered the window to the atrium did not fully cover the window; so anyone who walked past my room could look in. Lastly, the breakfast was terrible and the front desk hospitality was AWFUL. She was always on her cell phone when I went to speak with her. Totally embarrassed as a Wyndham owner to be associated with this hotel! Book at the Hampton Inn and Suites next door. Very nice and new!

First Room we had- the air conditioner was leaking. Front desk also double charged us so watch your bill.

Convenient location - to University of Michigan. Hotel staff very accommodating. Problem was - and it was a significant one - this hotel is need of a major facelift. The décor is so dated, the carpeting disgusting - both in rooms and in common area - and the fitness room an embarrassment. Though I paid a cheap room rate, I would not recommend this hotel.

The renovation/decor very attractively done, but the room had an unpleasant odor. Upon opening the drapes, food wrapper & empty soda container found. With all the dirt/dust on the window sill, I question how long it had been there!! Before going out for > 2hrs., housekeeping was informed. After returning, nothing had been done. After talking to management, it was cleaned up immediately. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk was not very friendly.

At check in the staff made a big issue about it being a non smoking room. I'm not a smoker. I get assigned to a exterior room at the back of the building. Parking area in front of my room was strewn with cigarette butts. Upon entering the room it reeked of cigarette and a strong chemical deorderizer. I called the desk and advised them. They told me to "sit tight" and they would be right there. 15 minutes later a yong man shows up with keys to a second room. Is was directed to enter the building through a security door that was blocked open with a folded door mat. No elevator had to lug all my luggage up a dirty carpeted stairway. Didn't appear to have been vacuumed or cleaned in weeks. Upon getting to the top of the stairs the chlorine froom the interior pool about knocked me out. Only out done by 15 or so screaming kids unsupervised in the pool. I found my room and entered to find that someone had already checked in there and that the adjoining suite passage door was unlocked. This ment that I had room access to someone's else's room and of course they had access to my room. Somewhat disconcerting. Second call to the front desk to report this new issue. I was told "oh ya, we knew about that. We moved them to another room and they haven't yet moved there stuff". What? In the interest of security I moved their things ito the adjacent room and locked my side of the passage door. 35 minutes later the same young man knocks on my door ready to move the other guests t

The morning of my stay the power went out. There were no supplies to help people get ready in the morning. No apology, no even acknowledgement that the power went out. No refund either. Carpet felt dirty.

The lobby is pretty crappy looking, and the elevator was disgusting and dirty. The room however, was pleasantly clean The continental breakfast was nice. . I would recommend this to somebody who is not going to be spending much time at the hotel and just going to be sleeping in the room.

Walking into the lobby you are hit with the strong smell of chlorine from the pool. This is not a 3 star hotel. It's badly in need of renovations. Lots of chipped paint, broken or missing fixtures. Our door had to be pulled closed in order to latch rather than closing and locking on it's own as it's supposed to do. The heating/ac unit was very noisy and several times during the night the bearings in the fan motor began squealing which woke us up. I thought about parking on the back side of the building which was closer to the room, but the rear parking lot appeared to be unmonitored and full of trash. Some of the outside entrance ground floor doors had been pried open at sometime in the past. I decided to park at the entrance for safety instead. We had to call for the desk clerk on 2 of the 3 occasions we needed to talk to someone as no one was at the desk.

I stayed at the Wyndham due to terrible road conditions (ice & snow). The room was very comfortable.

No problems, hotel and room were clean and well kept.

This hotel is very basic. The room we had (seemed most rooms) open to interior with sliding glass doors with no windows to the outside. The indoor pool chlorine smell permeates the entire hotel.

This place has it all. Great place for the money . Great staff . Get the breakfast $!!!!

Great property at a good value. Very pleased with everything!

This is an interesting-ly configured hotel as some rooms have outside access and others have interior access. Since I had an exterior access room this time I felt like I wasn't really even staying inside a hotel. It was very private, I guess, since I didn't run into any other guests. Good location, recommended.

The hotel was under construction however it looks like they are making a great improvement.

Easy to use. lose to Redwood City and convinent to Palo Alto.

Inside of dark room curtin wrapped around door handle to close gap. Hotel Construction on Roof... Dated thing on ceiling. Construction above my room. No notification of this!
