The hotel is tired. The staff is immigrant. Apparently they believe that Americans don't understand how terrible the Soviet Union was and wish to remind us. The place is dirty. Apparently their eyes and vacuum cleaners don't work other than the middle of the carpets. Having been a janitor I marvels at he amount of filth on the sides and corners of the rugs in the hall and room. My wife found a couple of dead critters in her sheets. I slept on top of the sheets. I am used to motel 6 etc off the highways for $39 a night. There is no price to express their apparent love of filth. The pile of cigarette butts outside the broken rear door floating in the ash tray said it all. Truly gross.

Pool closed, running toilet entire 1-day stay (even after maintenance "fixed"), garbage in stairwell, external doors that require hotel key to enter building do not lock...do not stay here. Only positive is that it is close to plenty of stores/restaurants.

Filled with smoke smell :(. Very old, dated and not upgraded in anyway.

Dirty, not vacuumed, no pads on mattress, no comforter, just awful.

Orbitz and any others like them should remove this as an alternative on their sites.

Bed bugs. Would not refund the money and said sorry all other rooms booked. Horrible. Never stay here under any circumstance

This hotel is one of the worst I have stayed at and I have traveled economically a lot. The grounds are poorly maintained, but the major problem is safety. The back door of the property does not lock, so anyone can enter the building at any time. The room was dated. The phone did not work and this became a serious problem for me when another guest started screaming profanities and throwing this around the room. This continued for over an hour. I was a woman traveling alone and I was petrified. DO NOT STAY HERE, PLEASE.

The first room smelled overwhelmingly of mold and dirty gym socks and the carpet around the bathroom was sopping wet. We were given a new room and an excuse that the last person in the room had not closed the shower curtain and that was the reason for the wetness. Why put someone in the room then? The 2nd room (as well as the hotel itself) reeked of cigarette smoke and the smoke detector was covered in a plastic bag. The walls were covered in substances that I hope were pizza sauce and the floor was grimy and dirty and probably as old as the hotel itself. Also fairly certain I was bit by some sort of bug--red dots around the ankles. The cable also didn't work in the 2nd room we were in--but we were too tired to care at that point. We didn't even stay the 2nd night we were intending to.

My stay was fine because it was an emergency. I was not pleased to find out that i really didn't save by using the online registration. The roof was leaking and the lining in the tub popped up while running my bath water and plaster was all in my water. the toliet seat was broken and the tv had a very bad picture almost like the tube was dying. For emergency purposes it was ok, but if i was booking for a vaction, no way no how.

Our room was broken into and there is no hot breakfast. This place is an accident waiting to happen.

This hotel is awful. Had our room broken into and the place is filthly. The cops told us when they came that this is a high crime hotel.

This place has seen better days. I don't think it was a value at any price. I did not try the Wi-fi.

Even the cop that came to start our claim after our room was looted told us not to stay there. Said it is a high crime rate and there have been many criminal activities. There was no breakfast as promised, the rooms were filthy and the doors don't lock. It was awful to say the least. Please read reviews and take them seriouly.

On business in the area. I would NOT recommend. Took 4 rooms hauling luggage from one after another to find one decent enough to put up with. Rooms smelled of smoke although its a non-smoking hotel. AC and/or plumbing didn't work. Bathrooms had mold in grout and walls falling apart. Rooms not dusted or vacuumed. Walked by the same fruit loop cereal in the hallway for 4 days. Walked bare foot in room and picked up a full finger nail w a design on it. Very bad overall appearance. Weeds and very low lighting at entrance. Would never recommend this hotel. Fair Warning.

Staff is friendly and helpful, check is was quick. The room itself was good sized and appeared clean at entering. Went to use the kleenex, and there were only 2 sheets in the box. Called to inform FD, was asked to come to the desk to pick up a box. About 20 minutes later someone arrived with a new box for me. After returning from dinner, jumped in the shower to discover lots of hair on the shower wall - had not been cleaned very well, tub was cleaned, but walls had not bee checked. Then the water would not drain. When finished with shower, I was standing in ankle deep water. Have stayed here before, and was not this bad. :(

This hotel was a major disappointment . The complimentary breakfast was coffee and cold cereal. The decorations were outdated and mismatched. The bathtub was dirty and the towels were like sandpaper. We were in Ann Arbor for a football game. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Poor location, lack of amenities and and outdated room. price was 150. 00 per night because it was football season

If you like the smell of stale cigarettes then you'll love this hotel!!! Despite no smoking signs everywhere this hotel wreaked of stale cigarettes.

I knew the hotel needed refurbishing badly. I chose the Victory Inn because it was the last room available in Ann Arbor. It is straight out of the 70"s which would be fine if they had kept up on repairs...bathroom door did not close all the way...sink was caulked as if a one-yr old had done it...shower drain was clogged....cheap mattress.....wrinkled, dingy sheets...I could go on and on. Stay elsewhere!!

This is not a hotel for someone who wants to be pampered. It is however an affordable place to stay. I just needed to have a place to sleep while in town, preferably with a fridge and microwave so I could keep meal costs down. This fit the bill. The area is pretty safe and conveniently located for interstate and shopping access. Although the carpet was dirty, furniture old and worn, and towels thin, the fact is that the linens and bathroom surfaces were clean, and the staff was courteous. The heat/ac unit worked fine, although the air smelled a bit musty/smokey when set to cool. They have a posted smoke-free policy, but my room's smoke detector had a plastic bag over it. Perhaps their guests are not always well-behaved. With some TLC, this could be a nice hotel. The rooms are big, and the landscaping around it is quite attractive. The guy at the desk told me he'd been there since 2012, and the pool had been out of commission since he'd been there. Have heard from other family members that it is extremely loud on weekends with partying students, but it was very quiet on the two weekdays that I was there.
