Quick check in and out, very helpful staff. I believe the restaurant menu should be expanded and room cups and amenities should be upgraded. Plastic cups in room cracked before opening them.
The property is new and modern looking, clean. We liked the room. However, we were not impress when we arrived only to find out we didn't have any complimentary bottled water for our coffee. To make matters worse, when we went out the following day, we requested housekeeping but unfortunately, when we came back at the end of the day, our room was not cleaned, no new towels and etc.

Everything - great hotel! Great service and amenities - just wish there was a hotel shuttle to airport. Otherwise - highly recommend. Take Uber or train via airport as taxi is very expensive.
Very nice stay. Rooms are rather small. They need additional line cooks during breakfast time. Easy access to Schiphol airport from Hoofddorp station which is just across from the hotel.
Loved the Spanish bartender working the bar the night we were there! He explained details about the craft cocktails he was mixing up and was very personable! Quite a gentleman. Made our one night stay much more interesting! Wish we could get Tulip Vodka at home here in the US! Hotel is a bit further from the airport than we expected and does not have a shuttle but the staff arranged for our cab in the morning and made it easy for us to get to our flight without a hitch.
This is an excellent hotel and it is advertised as an "airport" hotel. The problem is there is no shuttle service from Schipol. When I called the hotel, the receptionist tole me to take the local train to Hoofddorp. You need to find the train station in ultra busy Schiphol airport, buy the train ticket, find the correct train platform, get off at Hoofddorp, carry your luggage on a flight of stairs because there is no escalator, walk out of train station and find your way to the hotel, about 200 meters. In my opinion, it's better to take a taxi (aout 25 euro) or Uber, 11 euros, Very convenient to use Uber compared to taking the local train.
Great hotel for a several day visit to Amsterdam. Location is handy for travel by train to the center of Amsterdam. Its location is one train stop from the airport which is great after a long flight.

I understand your point about the free shuttle bus, but in many cases this service is also paid, shared between up to 3 properties or only run once every 40 minutes whereby places are not guaranteed. Next to this I trust you appreciate there is no such thing as a free shuttle. The cost of running such a service is up to Euro 300K a year and these costs are always build in to the room rate you pay as a guest. As such, many guests tell us they feel we offer a better product for a lower price than similar hotels. Next to that we have also created a "Novotel Transit App" available in all App stores which gives quick and easy access to real time travel info and also is a great travel tool for the 20 minute train trip to Amsterdam Central Station or any of the other highlights in the region.

Good morning Megan, Thank you for staying at Novotel Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. It is a pleasure reading that the room has been to your liking! With the bus it is easy to reach the center of Hoofddorp (it will take you 7 minutes) where shops and restaurants can be found. We indeed do not have a shuttlebus, because we are easy to be reached by public transportation. Thank you again for the nice review. Best regards
