NH Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

NH Schiphol hotel is a good place to over one night if you have to catch an early flight. The hotel is comfortable and has a nice pool and wellness area (sauna and steam room). The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is good and across the street there is a McDonalds. There are frequent buses to the airport (free during the day, small fee very early in the morning). The area is not inspiring (next to a highway) and it is only recommended for a short stay.

+ Good rest, quiet and clean rooms. Very useful the shuttle service with the transfer to the airport/business center - Service at the restaurant is quite slow, options on the menu are limited and course prices are pretty spicy

We stayed in the NH Schiphol Airport Hotel December/January 2017/18. We arrived to Amsterdam early in the morning and found our way to the hotel shuttle, where we were promptly and courteously greeted by the shuttle driver and dispatched to the hotel. Not expecting to be able to check-in so early, we were planning to drop off our bags and begin exploring the city. When we arrived to the hotel (approx. 5 minutes from the airport), we were greeted and were able to check-in early! It was nice to be able to check-in early and freshen up before exploring Amsterdam! At check-in, we were asked if we wanted to add the breakfast buffet for 16 Euros per person per day (by adding it at check-in, we saved 2 Euros pp/pd). If you decide to stay here, I would recommend this breakfast. It is a large buffet breakfast with hot and cold items. A great way to start your day of sightseeing. While I can agree with other reviewers that there isn't much around the hotel but the McDonald's, there are a couple of other hotels (Best Western and Bastion are both across the street), each has a restaurant as well. The restaurant in the Best Western was quite delicious. The fitness center is large, I didn't use the facilities, but I did tour the facilities and can attest to the quality and size. The room was very large and very comfortable. Bathroom was well stocked with bath amenities and housekeeping was decent. I enjoyed the Nespresso machine in the room! Even with being so close to the airport, the room is remarkable quiet. The room was a bit too warm for my comfort, even with the thermostat turned all the way down and the radiators off. Guests need to be mindful that you need to make a reservation for the free hotel shuttle to leave the hotel to go to the airport. It leaves every 30 minutes. Once at the airport, you can take a train from Schiphol to Amsterdam Centraal (14 minutes). You can also take bus 397 from the airport and it goes directly to the Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. (approx 35 minutes). I was a bit nervous that because we were so far away from city center, it would be problematic, but it was very easy! All in all it was a great experience and I would definitely stay again when in Amsterdam. Highly recommended.

Unlike most of the US airports that are virtually third world, schiphol has everything you need - literally. Groceries, souvenirs, reasonably priced food, and even a museum! Be sure to visit the KLM Airplane Store!

This is about your standard airport hotel, but it's far enough away that the jet noise won't bother you. It's well appointed, clean, friendly and the shuttle service is right on time. I would stay there again.

Very convenient access to schiphol (10-15 Min shuttle bus) and still decently priced. Also close to the highway from Amsterdam to Den Haag. Good standard and friendly staff. Services are good with very nice breakfast. There is also a well equipped gym.

Good service, reliable shuttle, nice modern ambient. Due to the bad snow storm in Amsterdam during December, some trains did not come on time and we ended up not sleeping and getting to our hotel very late, causing us to sleep in and miss alarm for next day check out. We were charged a late check out fee (10 euros). I hoped they would have waived it in this special circumstance but otherwise understandable.

My family & I booked 3 rooms here because our flight home had been cancelled due to the bad weather. What a lovely hotel this was. The rooms are spacious and very well equipped. There are plenty of toiletries in the bathroom which was really useful to us as we could not get our luggage back. The young lady who ch3cked us in was very efficient and polite ensuring we had all we needed. There was a good range of drinks available in the bar. Breakfast was an extensive choice. We have never stayed in this chain before but we will do now.

Hi, Excellent hotel, very near to the Airport, I was there for one night, got a sexy room, very beautiful and amazing, i would go here again and again, only one draw back, out side there is nothing to eat except Mc all is good........Free Shuttle service is the best I liked for.... The only thing I didn't like was the girl at the Reception during my check in swiped 50 Euros on my Credit card and did not inform me about it, later on when i enquired they said its an deposit.....

Best Hotel in our Europe tour even not as other big International Chain. Very warm welcome staff especially Mr. Johnny during breakfast time, good variety of breakfast selection, spacious room and good internet connection. Keep it up.
