Hyatt Place Amsterdam Airport

4.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

This is a lovely well run hotel, with great rooms, a nice buffet breakfast for all guests, and best of all, friendly, helpful and efficient staff. But the whole experience is completely destroyed by the appalling shuttle service. This is a big airport hotel - in a dull business park - people need the shuttle to get into Amsterdam or to and from the terminal. But the Hyatt Place uses a small bus, which doesn't pick up where all the other hotel buses do, and when we were trying to find it, had no sign or other indication that it was even linked to the Hyatt Place! To cap it all, the bus keeps the same half-hour schedule no matter the demand - whether it's one or two people in the evening, or dozens of increasingly frantic people trying to catch flights in the morning! A great hotel and staff, let down by rigid unimaginative management thinking.

Even though I didn't stay long at hotel ,I did like the way staff worked with you and the cleanliness of the hotel!!! One of the best hotel I stayed at!!!

Excellent experience. The only complaint was that the shuttles to the airport didn't start early enough. I had to take a taxi and that was what I was hoping that I wouldn't have to do.

The hotel is a short, 10 min. Shuttle ride from Schiphol airport. To get to the shuttle pickup, one has to walk to the end of the airport. Tip: make yourself known at the pickup location as a Hyatt guest because the shuttle driver will walk through but we didn't hear him and had to wait another 30 min. Then at the hotel upon check-in, the line was 15 people long with 1 then two agents to check in the bus load. This can be improved. The room was nice with clean design but my bed wasn't made thoroughly, it seemed the staff rushed through the cleaning. The fitness center is open 24/7, it is small and functional but has no remarkable amenities, there is no sauna, steam or pool, just a few machines, some new, some outdated. The breakfast is nice but nothing special. There is prefab. fruit salad, cold veggies, cheeses, cold cuts, fresh bread, cappucino, scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. Pretty much the regular fare. I reported the state of the unmade bed to the front desk, no apologies or amends were offered. The morning shuttle back to the airport was a disaster as there were over 30 people trying to get on and the shuttle driver just said the left over people have to wait for the next one in 30 min, and he cannot accept standing passengers. Well, that is too bad for those trying to catch their flight. Given the size of the hotel, it seems like good customer service to account for busy check in/out times. Overall, it was not worth the extra money over nearby hotels.

Stayed three nights while visiting Amsterdam. Airport shuttle every half hour to rail connection with city; Amsterdam pass available at desk gives access to city rail, tram and bus services. Well worth it. No room service but 24 hour "market" in lobby has take out food available with limited choices. Excellent breakfast buffet and free parking.

Fantastic hotel. Very close to airport and has free shuttle

Morning buffet breakfast great. Smiling faces on all employees, with "what else can I do" attitudes. Convient shuttle to airport for trains. And really good rates for a very comfortable hotel.

Seriously. I arrived at the room at 1 am with my buddy so we stayed anyways. Washroom was literally missing its door altogether so to go number 2 someone can watch. Very disturbing.

Great location for Airport hotel in Amsterdam with convenient free shuttle every 30 min. The staff always friendly and went out of their way to make sure you were happy. The rooms are very modern nicely decorated and very quiet. I will stay there next time.

Nice and I'd stay here again. I was here for business and it was nice and convenient and NEW.

The room was excellent! The front desk staff helped us with anything we needed including directions. The shuttle bus driver gave us great tips on transportation that saved us time and money! We would recommend this hotel to our friends.
