Nice hotel near train station for descent price. Breakfast is good

While I was checking in, a drunk man at the hotel bar (that sits perpendicular to the reception desk) approached me asked if he could come drink in my room. I quickly told him no, but he then aggressively asked why not. After telling him I was engaged to quickly get rid of him, he moved away only a short distance. The receptionist apologized for the man's behavior, but then proceeded to state which floor I was staying on. I took my room cards and went to my room, but kept looking behind me because she had been loud enough for the drunk man to hear my floor level. After getting to my room and locking my deadbolt, I decided to take a shower. As I was showering, someone with key card access tried to open my door. Thank goodness I had put the deadbolt on because they tried to push the door open a couple more times as I rushed to cover up and kept asking who it was. I never received a reply from anyone, which is odd for hotel staff. Both of these situations made me feel unsafe and I locked myself in my room for the evening (it was around 4 pm). I had planned to walk to a nearby mall to eat and relax, but couldn't stop feeling scared and figured I'd wait until morning to eat. The morning check-out staff was friendly. There was also a constant sewage smell in my room that I didn't smell in the hallways or lobby of the hotel.

Room and food were okay. But,there was pickpockets in breakfast area. I lost my notepad and pouch bag. I cannot belive that such a things happened in Hilton hotel chain. Hotel staff were not supportive when I reported. Very disappointed on their attitude and the way of handling!

Overall the visit was great. I stayed two nights, very free shuttle to the airport (and train station) every 40 mins. Wonderful full breakfast was included with the room charge. Restaurants are within a nice walking distance (15 -20 min). Enjoyed my stay.

I liked it. Staying there for one night before my morning flight was convenient. The only problem is their shuttle bus: it took me almost 30 minutes to get to the airport since the bus passes through several hotels and then got into traffic on the way to the airport.

No restaurants nearby. I arrived late, and the only thing in the hotel was granola bars and chocolates, I had to laugh. This hotel is in the dead zone, except for the shuttle buses there is zero traffic. Hotel is in a dead zone. I will not recommend this to anyone.

Excellent choice for the Expatexplore group, the breakfast has different varieties and so good. The bedroom is spacious, neat and clean, all the electric appliances are working perfectly. And the free shuttle bus from Airport to Hotel is very convenient to us passengers , I would recommend this Hotel Hampton by Hilton to friends, family and co workers.

Very helpful staff. Nice comfortable rooms. Free airport shuttle but it only leaves the hotel about every 40 minutes so you might have to wait.

We chose the hotel for the closeness to the airport. My greatest experience was the extra help I got from the personnel at the Reception. I had a problem with Expedia for a matter totally unrelated to this hotel, but I got extraordinary help from one of the Receptionists.

No complaints here. It was a great experience all staff were super helpful.

PROS: Clean/comfortable hotel. Front Desk Staff very nice/polite. CONS: Waited at Hotel Shuttle Stand at AMS for 50 mins until shuttle arrived [made several stops before reaching Hampton Inn]. Upon arrival we immediately made reservations for the 7AM shuttle - however the next morning we found that the Front Desk had mistakenly booked us on the next one. Fortunately we were at the desk checking out at 6:15AM and were able to grab two of the last 4 seats on the 7AM shuttle back to AMS. Also, early in the morning there are not enough scheduled shuttle departures - need to add at least one more.

Very satisfied from the hotel. Very good location and breakfast.

The stay was great for me and my friend. One thing was the location, it is about 20 minutes away from the airport. Although they did have a shuttle bus to and from airport.

We loved the breakfast-to-go bags they had ready for us at 4 am. My 3-yr old daughter was so excited to taste the fruit and hot sandwiches they had in the bag. We will definitely return to this hotel

I stayed here one night before heading back to US after a family visit. The hotel is modern, clean, very nice and has a supportive staff. Room was fairly small but good size for Amsterdam. Bed was comfortable. High quality breakfast included in the price. I would go back there anytime! Close to metro and Schiphol. Great value (but this was offseason). 20 minutes from Amsterdam Centraal.

You need a car if you want to stay in this hotel and the whole area is new development so GPS does not recognize the area. Not many restaurant are closeby. Everything else is fine except location.

We were impressed the second we entered this hotel. We arrived early so staff came to our aid by securing our luggage while we went sightseeing. Staff informed us as to the best way to get into the city, ordered our take out for us, gave us a free shuttle to the airport all with a smile and a helpful manner. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Amsterdam

We stayed 1 night and this is a good hotel that is near the airport but you do have to take a shuttle that takes about 15 minutes. We found the shuttle to run very efficiently. Not impress with the male staff member who checked us in. He was very impatient, as if he had something better to do but other than that everyone else we encountered was very nice. Decent breakfast included with the room. We had Wifi in room but a little slow at times. Would recommend this hotel.

nice but far from central station. the breakfast is really good

We had an overnight layover in Amsterdam. The hotel was close to the airport and had a free shuttle which runs every half hour. The room was very clean and comfortable and in spite of being close to the airport, was very quiet. A free breakfast which was very adequate was included. The staff was very polite and fluent in English.
