The botel was a small comfortable room which did the purpose which was just to sleep in. Lots of hot water and room had large radiator which could be turned off or on.The ferry to and from the botel was fantastic, so good you could set your watch by it. Internet is free.

Fun for novelty but a little inconvenient being a ferry ride away from the old town of Amsterdam. Extremely small rooms, poor cleaning/fresh towels service (may have been because we came as a large group). Average at best but if you're planning on spending most of your time out and about, then this hotel is a good choice.

Good location easy to get to 3 star hotel , rooms basic , triple bedrooms available ,breakfast ok only allowed one cup ☕️ Coffee !! staff generally abrupt , generally clean and tidy, bar prices good 👍Good check in/out times

Just returned from a 3 night stay here and couldn’t fault the place. The staff were extremely friendly nothing was too much trouble for them. Room very basic but ideal for a base. Very clean and comfortable, tiny bathroom but adequate. Beds made up every day and clean towels. Breakfast was quite busy but enough to go round and plenty of tables. Cooked breakfast, yogurts, cereals, toast. Nice bar area for drinks. No restaurant but plenty of places to eat around the area. Ferry needed to get here, Directly opposite Central Station every 15 mins until late and free. Would definitely stay again.

Spent a couple of nights here whilst exploring Amsterdam. If you book a room you must understand that this is a budget option. Think more 'Hostel' than 'Hotel'. The rooms are very basic with tiny bathrooms. The décor is very dated and reminded me of my kids bedrooms in the 1980s. Having said that, if you're looking for a cheap way to spend some time in Amsterdam, this cold be a good option. Rooms were clean. Breakfast was great, as were the staff. The free ferry system works well from behind Central Station. After about midnight the ferry stops running to the Botel but another ferry brings you to another point on the north shore where the free shuttle bus returns you to the Botel.

Stayed at the Botel in September for 4 nights. I can’t fault our experience. It was mine and my Fiancés first visit to Amsterdam and when we return again next year we will be stopping here again. The rooms were clean, comfortable and perfect for what we needed it for. The free ferry to and from the town was a nice ‘extra’ which we enjoyed doing several times during the day. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. The only fault was breakfast. The food was very limited and greasy. My partner (who is the non-fussy one when it comes to food) was even disappointed. Maybe some pastries or something would be a better option? And more toast machines. Overall very impressed and will return.

I am just back from the Botel and what a great idea it is to have a boat hotel It is a ten minute free ferry ride away from central station and all that Amsterdam offers Rooms are small and adequate.Breakfast time is busy There is a sister ship "Pollux" which setves superb meals

Stayed in 'Botel' in July , was a lovely experience really enjoyed the view from the room looking towards the main city, The ferry from the hotel to the central station was different but very fun Reception staff were very friendly and the rooms were spotless would stay again

It was a funny one! 4 guys travelling to Amsterdam, chose blind that botel. It was quite the experience I must say! rooms not so large, a tiny bathroom , weird positions to take shower, but hey, you get what you pay for. Although we were there for the sightseeing and not to sleep, in order to go to center we had to wait for the hourly ferry to take us across. And its not functioning after hours!!!!

Overall I Enjoyed the experience of staying in the botel, loved the ferry trip over and back to it very convenient. The staff in the hotel are the reason I wouldn't give it a better rating, the female reception staff were so rude and not at all helpful. The breakfast chef (older gentleman) at first came across as friendly-ish....however that changed, he turned out to be very arrogant and rude. Breakfast itself was limited, but edible. The rooms were small but what I expected, they were clean and had everything we needed.
