Checked in and within 5 minutes was on chat to get me out of there. Staff is rude, and for sure don't believe that business about a short walk from the metro. Absolutely horrible place to stay. Its in the middle of an industrial area, miles from anything
Air conditioning did not work. Several attempts with different passwords before I could connect. A gloomy room with the air not functioning and nothing could be done as it was almost midnight when I arrived. Must be better hotels for less in the area or even go into Madrid .
I guess location is the key to this one. If you are working near by, since this is a business district, then its ok to walk. There is a mall near by. dont expect anything to be open on weekends. Not allot of food choices but a great resturaunt connected to the Hotel ( la buferia? ). The wine is exceptional ...
Hotel Emporador is right across the Santo Domingo metro stop in Gran Via, just a few steps from Plaza del Callao and Plaza España. All the must see places in Madrid are close by or just a few stops away via the metro. The staff at the hotel was super attentive, and accommodating as we arrived early ...
It was very centric hotel, near Plaza Mayor and Mercado San Miguel. You could walk to anywere without problem. Breakfast was ok and the staff very helpfull and nice.
Stay away from this hotel. Mean staff. Small rooms. Will not recommend to a friend.
Location is close to all the major attractions. Close to a few metro stops. Hotel staff was very helpful. Three options for eating and drinking within the hotel. Because its in the middle of the city, it gets loud at night. You can hear everything on the street level even though we were on the 4th floor, but it wasn't too bad.
We stayed 1 night to catch the plane next day. It was convenient and provided nice airport transfer.
