"Very handy hotel for an early international departure because it can be reached via a walkway. Nice bathroom. If you order a Club room on the 8th floor, it comes with burger, tacos or club sandwiche and drinks, and breakfast but I had to leave too early to have the latter. The staff were very friendly in the dinner room on the 8th floor. There is a lack of porters on the ground floor."

"Zocalo Central Hotel is super close to the city square and many, many restaurants, including its own on the terrace which is also very nice, as well as the metro station next to the People’s Palace. The terrace provides an unobstructed view of the entire square and during the FIFA one can actually look down at the screen on the street level for the games. The hotel is well maintained and has plenty of amenities. I especially enjoy the convenience of the 24-hr bar, where you can order a glass of draft beer or if you are on the run, getting a panini sandwich and a drink (coffee, water or juice) can be very fast and easy. The frontdesk staff were courteous and helpful and everybody in the hotel was very nice. The only minor complaint I have was that the AC unit in my room seems to lack temperature control - when on cool, it would keep cooling and did not stop at the set temperature. So the first night my room reached 15 degree C. Because we were mostly outside, it wasn’t much an issue but I forgot to tell the staff. Another slight inconvenience is that the fitness room cannot be directly accessed without the help from the front desk. But I understand their security concerns so I wouldn’t mind asking."
