Cancun and Las Vegas are two world-renowned destinations that offer poles-apart tourist attractions. Travelers originating from Cancun may find the bright lights of Las Vegas intimidating but exciting, while Las Vegas folks may just find Cancun a haven for their fatigued bodies and souls. Flights from Cancun to Las Vegas are easy to book with Orbitz.com.
Cancun is a beach and archeological paradise just off the Caribbean coast. Cancun International Airport serves the city and is located five miles southwest of downtown. It provides one-stop flights to Las Vegas through American Airlines. Taxis are the easiest and fastest way to the airport albeit expensive. A bus also runs every hour to the airport from the Cancun Bus Station located on the corner of Tulum and Uxmal Avenue. The parking area is right at the entrance of the airport. Parking fees starts at MXN24 per hour to a maximum of MXN150 per day.
Las Vegas is a place of sophisticated and worldly fun. McCarran International Airport handles domestic and international flights to and from Las Vegas. Travelers arriving at the airport can take the public bus that stops at Ground Level Zero at Terminal 1. The bus departs every 20 to 30 minutes and costs $2 for a single ride. Alternatively, arriving travelers can take the group shuttles that run between the airport and major hotels and resorts. Other modes of transport include car, taxi and limousine rentals, all of which are available at the airport terminals.
Las Vegas enjoys fair and sunny weather most days of the year. Winter is brief, and snow is a rare sight. Rain is scarce throughout the year. Although the city has an ideal weather for most of the year, winter temperatures can dip to freezing points at 34°F, and summer highs can reach 106°F.
Aside from the downtown casinos and hotels, the city is also famous for its tours, national parks, museums, culture and arts. Among its popular attractions are Red Rock Canyon, world-class circus acts at Circus Circus, Cirque de Soleil shows, Valley of Fire and the Bryce Canyon.
The slogan can be interpreted several ways, but it does promote the city in various forms. Find cheap air tickets when you book your flights from Cancun to Las Vegas on Orbitz.com.
