Three major airports serve the New York City area: JFK, about twenty miles from Manhattan in Queens; LaGuardia, six miles from Manhattan in Queens; and Newark Liberty International Airport, about twenty miles away in Newark, NJ. Taxis will cost between $40 and $55, plus tolls. If you’re traveling light, a $2.25 subway ride out might be your best option; all airports have convenient subway and bus access.
