Not far from historic Colonial Williamsburg, this upscale resort boasts apartment- style accommodations with plenty of space for the family to be comfortable and united. The past will come to life as you will be surrounded by historic exhibits. The feel of the colonial times will be present, with all of the comforts of this modern age.



Governor's Green includes large, tastefully decorated suites with a fully equipped kitchenette or kitchen, as well as a spacious living room with sofa. Cable TV, DVD players, and video game consoles are included. Convenient washer and dryer is located in unit. Some rooms have a balcony and a spa bath.



Various activities are available and an indoor and outdoor pool will keep the family united while having fun. Challenge the kids in the arcade or at a game of mini-golf. Need to tend to a workout before the days' adventure? The fitness center will help you achieve that.

The rooms were very comfortable and quiet. All activities were easily accessible. We did have to ask for a coffee maker and there was no large trash can in the kitchen. But those were quickly resolved.

The smell in the room was not good. It smelled like cigarettes, and as of today 8/24/25, I have not received my 250 back. I did as asked, we took out the trash, left the dishes in the dishwasher and left the towels in the bathroom still the money for incidentals has not been refunded.

Overall, the location, accommodations, and size of the unit were ideal for my family. The unit was clean for the most part. The main bathroom had a mildewy smell we believe came from the washer and that shower was in need of a deep scrub. As a family of five, the two bedrooms and living space size were perfect for us.

Check in was easy and staff were very helpful. The amenities we fantastic however the unit we stayed in smelled musty. The beds were great. Very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed! I would definitely book again with hopes the musty odor was a fluke. Very family friendly and great area to stay.

Nice place but very disappointing experience

The property was great. I was very disappointed that we were made to sit through a time share presentation or pay an additional 60 fee. Also when we initially booked the room we were told it was double booked and we would have to change rooms in the middle of the trip and move to another room which was fine however after we packed up our room and loaded our cars they put us back in the exact same room. Very poor experience with both situations.

Very clean but maintenance issues

Unit was very clean and property was clean. Several maintenance issues in unit which I did not report until checkout because I don’t like people coming into the room. But they all should have been noted by cleaning staff previously IMO. Pool was not crowded either time we went. Everything in area is only 10-15 drive.

We had a great week in Williamsburg visiting theme parks and colleges. The resort was a perfect spot for Busch Gardens with commute only 15 minutes. Great restaurants in the area and our concierge gave us some great recommendations. Everyone was comfortable with their own spots and kitchen was a big plus.
