Solid, cheap motel. Don’t expect the world, and you will not be disappointed.

Kind people working at the property but just an old, outdated facility that needs new carpet and ventilation system in the pool area.

The Marcus Whitman is easily the premier hotel in Walla Walla, especially if you enjoy being in the hub of the vibrant downtown area. The staff were delightful, the recently renovated rooms are lovely with excellent beds, and their Marc restaurant was delicious at both breakfast and dinner. The only off note is they’ve moved to a pricing structure which is not aboveboard. In addition to the advertised price, you are charged $25 per night for an “amenities fee”. This fee covers things like WiFi and parking that were previously included in the base rate. This practice feels underhanded and is unworthy of such a fine hotel.
