Good clean hotel for the price.

We had a pleasant experience - the apartments are conveniently located a couple of blocks away from the major attractions in Cairns, and quiet. We did encounter some homeless folks on our way back from dinner a couple of nights but they did not hassle us. The apartment itself was okay - we had the ground floor 2-bedroom. It is definitely spacious and met all of our needs, but it is seriously dated - and neither the furnishings or the decor were what we expected based on the website. The apartment also faces and opens up to the parking lot in the back. The pool is really not a pool - our children were most disappointed by that. Overall, it was a nice apartment - and met our needs but not necessarily our expectations.

The smell of the bird droppings around the island is terrible. the only place you can get dinner the food is only ok. The options are limited as the menu doesn't change. If it rains there is literally nothing else to do. The island and the wildlife are beautiful.

The staff was most helpful. Nice location near beach, a number of good food options, reasonable price.
