Port Douglas Peninsula Boutique Hotel

Perfect Place to Stay in Port Douglas

The hotel is located right across the street from the best beach in town and 2 block from the downtown area where all the restaurants and stores are located. We could see the ocean from our porch. Breakfast we a full meal with lots of choices. They offered FREE laundry facilities which we used a lot. The have DVD's and books to borrow. The onsite restaurant was very good and convenient with daily happy hour drinks. Pool was wonderful considering we couldn't swim in the ocean because of jelly fish. The receptionist gave us wonderful recommendations for food, services, and places to see. Plus they were always smiling and happy!

Port Douglas Sands Resort

Good hotel and great location.

Stayed at the hotel with 3 kids. Had a Family Room with double bed and twin bunk beds. Beds were comfortable and room was clean and quiet. Hotel is in good location to travel and explore the Cape Tribulation area. The hotel manager, Travis, was terrific and provided very helpful guidance on places to travel and eat. Would stay at hotel again for sure.

Fantastic Honeymoon

I booked honeymoon for my daughter and son in law and they had a fantastic time, they were treated very special and would definitely go there again and take the kids. They told me that they felt like the king and queen and that staff were fantastic. we will be going next year.

Reef Resort Port Douglas

Nice Tropical Break

My daughter and I spent 4 nights at the Rendezvous Reef halfway through a two week Australian vacation. We stayed in the one bedroom deluxe unit, which is actually a condominium with a full kitchen, living room, laundry area with washer and dryer, two full baths and an upstairs bedroom with a balcony. It was not luxurious, but was very comfortable, clean and quiet (no running water or slamming door sounds during the night that occur at even the best hotels). It was great to have some room to stretch out and to be able to do some laundry. The price was comparable to an average hotel room. The grounds are nice, with several pools and gardens, again nothing super new or fancy, but still pleasant. The location is a short distance to the center of Port Douglas and there is a regular shuttle bus you can catch into town for a small fee. They offer free broadband internet and will loan you an ethernet cable, but it wasn't working for a good portion of the time we were there. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially in the restaurant. There is no daily maid service, but you can pay extra if you want to schedule it. The only negative experience we had was when we checked in after 7PM, coming in from the airport in Cairns. It was already dark and they just handed us our keys and a map and sent us out dragging our suitcases along dimly lit paths trying to find our unit! A quick trip in a golf cart would've been nice. Other than that it was great, especially the quiet nights that allowed us to sleep well.
