We have stayed at Peppers many times and always enjoy the location, the pool and the helpfulness of the staff. We would always recommend Peppers to our friends. A loyalty program would be a nice addition.
Best holiday ever!!!! thank you Alyson - you are a superstar!! Great location, Best pool experience in PD. Staff are very friendly and very accommodating. Very family friendly, but also great for couples.
Room was very noisy; 1. balcony facing the pool with screaming children playing at 7am. 2. the shared entrance for the 2 connecting rooms was loud with noisy neighbours slamming doors before departing at 6am Pool was freezing and unbearable, at the beginning of June On the plus side the staff were great and tried to help relocate us to another room towards the back building, but was smaller and more hassle to actually move. The saving grace was the location is very good, a short stroll to the beach and center of town
The living room fan was broken and was so loud, (Robyn & Lauren had it fixed asap). But unless the fridges were replaced or fixed we won't be staying here again. The noise from the main kitchen one was unbearable and kept us awake. The mini bar fridge literally blew up in the main bedroom & We were told we had a pool facing room but ended up with the corner one on the main road :-( The spa room bathroom had quite a bad sewage smell & we did tell advise the reception staff of this. But no one looked at it. We also know that check in time is 2pm, BUT we also know that sometimes room are ready early.....but the man who saw us at 1245pm was rude. And said someone would help us with our luggage but no one came, only after we had to ask another 2 times......we were told someone would call us before 2pm and we got a phone call at 210pm. Unfortunately we didn't realise that the pool swim up rooms with sunbeds were the only ones who's sunbeds got SUN ALL day. "If" you were able to get a seat by the pool it was in the shade. Robyn & Lauren were very helpful and lovely and wanted to listen to our "check in" issues.....
Nice place but avoid room 129 as your neighbours pool patio is right infrount of your balcony, awkward and balcony unusable unless you want to watch your neighbours sun themselves all day. It's an end room too so you have literally nothing to look at other than you neighbours, really badly designed. Place really clean and tidy and the staff are great. Good spot easy walking distance to the main street and beach.
Overall a great stay. Staff Friendly and professional. Location wise it was spot on. Close to the beach and close to the main strip. The suite rooms are a great size and I recommend these rooms if wanting a true holiday
The property is well located and the lagoon pool is very pleasant . Food is average at best . Limited wifi download per day . This is not a cheap place to stay and charging 2 dollars for a pod of in room coffee is silly .
Very kids friendly and fun hotel near the beach and town in Port Douglas. The pool is amazing including a sand beach, swim up bar, and lap swim lanes. A relaxed atmosphere and not noisy even with so many families with children staying there. Some rooms have a private jacuzzi on the balcony, others have BBQ pit, and some their own sun deck leading up to the pool. The only downside is that the wifi is limited to 500 Mb per stay. Not per night. So if you stay one night or a week you still only get 500Mb. Not very logical and completely useless. I'd rate the hotel higher if it wasn't for this. I'd totally stay here again if I'm in the area though.
Our overall stay was very pleasant and comfortable, the pool being the major draw card (although a little to cool) We were however disappointed with the lack of some basic inclusions that one would expect from the price you pay. Examples are - No free and unlimited internet which is a basic standard feature these days, no key cards - this makes little things such as moving in and out of doors with kids etc that much more difficult when having to use a key.., towels are monitored and logged against room - there should be an unlimited supply of pool towels available to guests, only 2 complimentary coffee pods..no strollers to use unless hired (we ended up buying one for $25 from Target, not sure why Peppers cant do the same and make them available. Its the small things that Peppers lacks to make the stay 100% comfortable that makes me wonder why we pay so much when there is so many add ons that you have to pay for.
Nice pleasant stay at Peppers. Pool is huge and clean, great cocktail specials & lovely staff. The location of the hotel was excellent, only one street away from the main shopping strip. Hotel was very well looked after.
