I booked specifically for the pool for my kids. I did not know the pool was closed for the season. When I asked at the front desk I was told it closed that day at 6, inferring that it was opened earlier that day. When I looked online it says the pool closes at 7 that day. The confusion with the pool hours and not being able to get a refund made me an extremely dissatisfied customer.

Make it make sense

Arrived 1 hour early at 3pm and Ameristar wanted $85 to check in 1 hour early. Pool is open 10-4 and apparently sometimes 7 pm. So if you stay 1 night and check in at 4 and out at 11 am you have a 1 hour window to use the pool. Pool connects outside to inside and if it’s storming no pool useage either. So if you’re going for business consider these hours for pool useage. Casino allows smoking so caution if you have allergies. Do not recommend.

We were there on a Friday night and all the restaurants were closed by 9:45pm. The bar service in the casino was not good. They wanted $85 for a two hour early checkin which I did not opt to do but then didn’t have my room ready until 30min after checkin time. Staff at check in counter were less than friendly. A lot less.
